Villa Magdalena Calvia

Perfect location for a quiet and relaxing vacation. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and you will have everything you need for comfortable cooking. You will need good driving skills, as the house is located on a mountain and the driveway is steep. There is a nice terrace with a chill-out zone. The entire property is fenced with metal gates, so you will feel completely safe. You can walk to the nearby town in just 10 minutes. A 15-minute drive will take you to supermarkets like Lidl and Aldi. Near the house, there are beautiful hiking trails, but you will need special hiking boots as the trails are very rocky. When checking out, you will need to dispose of your garbage. The nearest bin is next to the Lidl supermarket. Very responsive hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Magdalena Calvia. The villa is very well equipped and well maintained. The friendly owners are very welcoming and respond quickly via WhatsApp in case of any questions. The place is very secluded and a great base to discover the island and explore the impressive Serra de Tramuntana. To get to the villa and make your way around the island a car is recommended. The village has a couple of restaurants and a small supermarket. We would love to stay here again.

It was perfect.

This is a truly beautiful villa, set in a beautiful location in the hills, just outside of the sleepy town of Calvia. It is so quiet & peaceful with no other villas in sight. Nestled in amongst the trees, it is the perfect spot for peace & tranquility. The outdoor facilities are fantastic, with several comfortable seating areas, lots of shade & a lovely pool, which is quite small but perfect for cooling off & relaxing beside. Calvia is a ten minute walk away but the road is quite busy, steep & winding, so we didn't attempt it as it was way too hot for the walk back up the hill. The villa is perfectly located & is only ten minutes away from Palmanova, Santa Ponsa and Port d'Andraxt. Great communication with the owner, very attentive and kept checking to make sure everything was OK during our stay. A nice man also came to clean the pool. I would definitely recommend a stay at Villa Magdalena.

The house is beautiful & very comfortable but it is not fully air conditioned as expected. We were there in August & the bedrooms were very hot. There are two fans in each room, which do help but it is still quite stuffy. The air conditioning in the living room is good but it doesn't really reach the kitchen fully, or the bedrooms. However, if you keep the AC on full, keep all the shutters closed during the day and the doors closed during the day, the house remains at a manageable temperature. As the pool is small, it does get affected by suncream in the water. Our costumes turned yellow! (This did wash out) I think that having an outside shower to rinse before going into the pool, would really help with this.

This property exceeded our expectations. The outdoor space is superb and much bigger than it looks on the photos. Inside, the villa has a really homely, cosy feel. It was like home from home. Our two girls loved it (aged 14&12). Excellent location, very private, you can’t even see another house from the property but only 10 minute walk into Calvià village with supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. 15 minute drive to Palma Nova beach/Portal Nous.
