Villa Paolo Lemon Tree

This is a spectacular villa -- truly palatial in every way with the most glorious views and location. The pictures cannot fully capture how stunning this spot and the facilities are. Our family of five loved this villa and its grounds -- the two hammocks were perfect spots to take a break and enjoy the garden and views. The vaulted ceilings and mosaic floors made us feel like we were sleeping in a palace. We made dinner one night in the well-stocked kitchen and ate on the beautiful terrace overlooking all of Porto Venere. We didn't mind the stairs to climb -- it was a great way to get a little work out everyday. Thank you for this glorious three days!

Simply stunning house with an even more stunning view! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking / dining in. We loved how close it was to the center of town, while also having lots of privacy. The host Marta was extremely responsive and kind.

The amount of stairs to climb to access the house is crazy! I wouldn't call this a complaint though, as we had no trouble with it and I knew about it ahead of time from other reviews. But I do think it's very important to consider this detail, as it would be extremely difficult for anyone with mobility issues, bad knees, etc to stay here.

Un endroit incroyable . Vue magnifique depuis la terrasse et le jardin. Intérieur très beau. Grande fenêtre ouvrant sur la mer depuis la chambre principale . Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Accueil très chaleureux de Marta, plein de petites attentions de bienvenue très délicate. Une de nos meilleures locations .

Außergewöhnliche Lage in Portovenere

Location and the views from the windows and the terrace are wonderful. Nice kitchen dining area opening onto a large terrace, a few levels of garden off the terrace with lemon and olive trees. The main bedroom, also overlooking the sea is very large with classical high ceilings throughout. Found a nice bakery along the shopping street, at the very far end from the Villa, on the ground floor of a large building that’s just being renovated, there’s no sign outside and with brown tinted windows could be easy to walk past. Bread is sold by weight so don’t be put off by the prices on display.

The only way to reach the Villa is from the town square, by a pathway of 130 steps leading up (as expected) for which you’re rewarded by lovely views from above the town, but there’s a locked gate half way up that stairway and you’ll need Marta to unlock that gate, suggest phoning her on arrival from the town square and then all should go well.
