Looks like some kind of scam!! Location of the place is a lonely island, based far away from Funchal airport. It was so confusing with Booking We were looking for the place to stay and for uknown reason search shows this location. To get there from Funchal you should hire a ferry, which is working several days a week in APril, so should check it first If you're travelling check arrival destination first!!! Thats why is non refundable deposit, even partly. Place has many reviews without description!!! You should leave 500 EUROS cash once you arrived.

Spacious house for 4 People stay. All.the amendeties to prepare meals and long stays. In a quiet place on low season but not sure about acoustic isolation from the other houses on high season, it seemed.to me it can become noisy due to low acoustic isolation

Its around 10-15 minute walk form nearest beach and town center. Not to bad if you walk once a day, but more than that it becomes too much, specially with children. Its an isolated house in the countryside so expect some bugs and ants to be around insode the house.

Lovely courtyard, great for BBQS. Very comfortable

How anyone ever finds the property I will never know ! I visit the Island regularly and even the taxi driver couldn't find it. We ended up dragging our cases up and down the road. Arrive there 2 hrs later should have taken 10 mins. You definately need to alter directions. No3, where ? No 1 and 2 in the street is a 30 min walk. The nearest house on the main road nearest to the house is no 98 ! Also the location is a side road with no name. Details said we would have a welcome pack, there wasn't one. Also told to take a cash deposit to handover, no one came! Booking help line was useless, no help at all
