Mzingazi Waterfront Accommodation, On The Bay Waterfront Villa's

The property was so clean, the kitchen was fully specked with everything one might need. The views from the room were out of this world, pre serenity. The complex is super safe with the security measures to enter and exit.

Location.

I stayed in unit 72. The unit itself is nice with a good view of the marina. The lighting in the bathroom is poor, needs a light over the mirror. The major problem with this place is the extreme gate security. Every time you drive in and drive out, you have to present your check-in QR code and drivers license for scanning. EVERY TIME. They also scan the car tag. Not only is it a hassle but it’s an invasion of privacy. It’s nobody’s business but mine when I come and go. It’s also stupid because the other side of the property is open to the water. Anyone could come into the complex in the middle of the night by boat. In contrast to that, the lockset on the unit itself is ancient piece of junk(see photo). The door is flimsy and beat up. A swift kick could easily open it. Adjacent units have metal security grills over their doors. The descripton of this property said “breakfast is available - pay at property” I didn’t see any restaurant on the property so that claim is false. Finally, of the properties I considered in Richards Bay, this was the most expensive. Definitely not worth it. Unless you really need a kitchenette, look elsewhere.

Beautiful villa, stunning view and friendly hostess! We will definitely be visiting again.

It was quite a mission to get in and out of the resort everytime we drove somewhere and came back again. Security is a bit lazy and we had to hoot to get assistance, although they saw the vehicle at the gate.
