Villa Tanah Carik by Mahaputra

Absolutely lovely, far away from the city noise yet close enough to all entertainments. There is a cafe just in front. 20 mins to Ubud by bike.

Absolutly everything. Villa Tanah Carik is runned by locals and it is the best place you can imagine to enjoy your experience in Ubud. It is a bit retired from Ubud center but next to Tegallalang rice fields. They offer really good breakfast and also helped us with our luggage (which had been lost during 72 hours due to Turkish airlines issues…)

Great value for money! The hotel is small but the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and the bed is very comfy. Rooms are cleaned daily. Staff were friendly. The scooter we rented at the hotel was almost new. Don’t miss out on trying out the Restaurant ‚Golden‘ next door. We ended up eating there every night of our stay because the food was just so good.

The pool didn’t seem clean (pump was not running) so the water was a little greenish and milky. The room doors can easily be opened from the outside even when they are locked. They provide a safe for valuables but it still was a bit odd. You need to pre order your breakfast the night before your a specific time. Eggs were cold as we showed up a little later than planned.

So welcoming! Apart from the road noise which you could easily ignore, it was so quiet and peaceful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We would happily go back and recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Water overspray from the shower was a little annoying but we found that was common everywhere we stayed, so not a big deal. More kitchen supplies would have been handy, such as glasses and bowls.

The structure and space of the Villa was amazing! Loved the whole nature vibe. They were extremely sweet to plan my birthday suprise!

The pool water was not temperature regulated so it was extremely cold
