Casas Martainha

This Airbnb is definitely one of a kind, the best so far during our 17 day trip in Spain - Portugal. Our host Marisa was so nice to leave us water, coffee, fruits, and even a chocolate cake. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and really wished we could have stayed for longer at this beautiful town.

A Marisa põe muito carinho em cada detalhe: o delicioso bolo de chocolate e a fruta de bem-vinda, os lençóis e as toalhas macias que cheiram de maravilha, a casa fresquinha co ar condicionado acesso quando chegamos ao meiodia em pleno Julho. A casa é muito linda e confortável e o entorno é belissimo, tranquilo e silencioso. Obrigados pelas atenções.

Marisa and Eliseu were great hosts. They welcomed us and had a few treats. The place has a quiet backyard patio with a nice sunset view. The neighbor runs a bakery shop next door and creates a great breakfast. We were only going to stay one night, but since the place was so nice, including the small town of Sernancelhe, we spent two. We drove down to the Doureo Valley on our full day. You can drive to it in less than an hour via an adventuresome route that was suggested by Waze or by more conventional roads. They made reservations for us at two great restaurants in town – Tasquinha do Mário and Restaurante Flora – both within walking distance. We would give the place an 11, but since the internet had an issue, we’re giving them a 10. The bakery had wi-fi, so the issue was little. Just one note for those with mobility issues, the bedroom is up a set of stairs.
