It was comfortable and we slept well. Quiet location with limited noise from the road. We were left to our own devices which was nice.

Decor could be refreshed. Pool and hot tub are communal which is slightly misleading when looking at promotional photos.

Lovely spacious villa, all three rooms had large en suite bathrooms. Plenty of out door space with comfortable seating. Easy to get to from the airport. Check in/ checkout was very smooth and well facilitated. Secure property, felt completely safe.

We didn't get round to using the pool due to the weather, but it looked lovely!

Santika Villa is a spacious villa, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. We had a good stay, however, it did not meet our expectations based on the advertisement, which is somewhat misleading.

There are some things to take into account before you make a booking: - It is an old villa, don’t expect luxury, everything is very basic/in an old state. The kitchen equipment is very poor, so cooking is a challenge. - It only has airconditioning in the main bedroom, the other parts of the villa do not have airconditioning. - The swimming pool is not private (as stated otherwise in the advertisement). It is shared with several other rental houses on the property. - The jacuzzi is at the swimming pool area, not near the house. You need to pay extra for it (I believe it is R 250 a day). - The same applies for use of the laundry machine. - There is no back-up generator for electricity, and there is a lot of load shedding. So you are quite often without electricity. - It is located right at the M12 highway, you can hear cars passing. - There is a fountain at the patio which makes a lot of noise and cannot be switched off (it only goes off at load shedding and at night). - We stayed for 9 nights and there was no cleaning, which was disappointing. For an extra fee you can request extra cleaning, but there is no cleaning in the rental price. - Provided towels were old and not one was the same. It felt a bit cheap. - During our stay we experienced a lot of flies in and around the house (however, perhaps this was due to the time of year). As you can read above, the villa is old and you should not expect any luxury. It took us a couple of days to get used to it/accept it. However, Vanessa was kind and helpful. On the check out day she arranged that our son could have his mid-day sleep in one of the other apartments, after our check-out and before we had our evening flight back home.

The property was spacious and well equipped, perfect for our large family.

The decor was a bit dated and the property could have done with some refrash. We thought the pool was for our sole use, but it was shared between a number of holiday homes.
