Villa Mare e Monti

Beautiful view looking out to sea. Lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi. The house was spotlessly clean. All the bedrooms were a good size.

We loved the villa and the fact that, although we were a large family group, we all had our own separate areas and facilities. We thought the pool area was wonderful and the BBQ area was great for family meals. Overall we had a fantastic stay.

The shower in the middle apartment could be improved. It is hand held and the doors don't quite meet

place is large, luxurious and spectacular pool. friendly island, beaches, restaurants, sea, scenery. villa is in good condition, grass is well kept. nice bbq place. owner was prompt to react to small issues like a wasp nest and a toilet keeping flushing

the pool water was quite warm and possibly chemically a bit off as it congested a bit the nose, but a regular sea swimming solves a lot. further the whole area of the island is quite full of insects due to the beautiful plants and trees: crickets, butterflies but also more hazardous: mosquitoes, hornets, wasps and gadflies. Bring mosquito lotion at night!

The property was amazing. Plenty of room for everyone with separate bathrooms on each floor and two full kitchens and outside cooking area. Grounds were well looked after and the pool area was immaculate.

Might look a bit far away from Acharavi. Car rent helps.

we have just finished our holiday here, the villa was absolutely perfect. the pool and hot tub were fantastic and well maintained throughout our holiday by mr spiros. the kitchen was well equipped so we were able to have a few meals in. the outside areas were beautiful as were the views. the cleaning lady came twice during our holiday and changed the bedding and towels as well as mopping all the floors and cleaning the bathrooms. fantastic communication from the host who even let us check in early due to our early flight. we are a family of 8 and the set up of the villa was perfect, plenty of room so we weren’t all on top of each other with 3 separate living area and two kitchens. all in all a fantastic holiday! thank you

would recommend hiring a car so you can make the most of seeing the island. we came slightly early for the season so the nearest tavernas were closed but it wasn’t a problem as we had our cars.

The villa is lovely, spacious, has well equipped kitchens for cooking. Wonderful BBQ area for cooking and eating. Incredible pool with sun loungers. Lovely garden with a huge variety of lovely plants and trees. The beds are comfy and there is aircon if needed. Location: 3 or 4 tavernas within walking distance, although the closest (Mythos) is by far the best, we went there 3 times in 9 nights. 20 minutes drive to the beautiful rocky beaches of kassiope where you can snorkel and see fishes, and a 8 minute drive to the Agios Spiridon beach for calm waters and sun bathing. The closest beach -almyros- is sandy, but very unprotected and choppy on a windy day. Shops are mostly all in Acharavi which is a few mins drive or a 40 minute walk on a main road.

The location is great, but slightly further away from the beach and town than we'd like. It wasn't a problem, and we did think this before going. But I would advise to have hire cars or book a mini bus in advance, as taxis for big groups aren't always easy. There is a nice small shop and an amazing taverna (Mythos) just at the end of the driveway, and the closest beach is about 20 minutes walk, so if you don't fancy too much exploring then these are enough! The mosquitoes were pretty bad while we were there, we all got bitten a lot despite using repellant, citronella candles and mosquito screens. During the day the wasps and hornets were really full-on too, but I guess this is unavoidable! There was also a lot of other cute wildlife like praying mantises, bats, butterflies and a sweet grey kitty.
