Cajun-Get Away

Gorgeous place! Bed was comfy. We loved the tub and the steam shower being en suite.

Well it is attached to the owner’s home, so you can hear them a little bit. We really like the accommodation. We were on a romantic getaway … we would definitely and probably will stay there again. It’s a great halfway point for mon petit ami et moi.

Waking up to a home made breakfast on the lawn terrace was beautiful, the scones were absolutely delicious. From the second we arrived on a last minute booking in the evening Robbie and Brian made us feel welcomed like family, and nothing was overlooked-water and soda, coffee, toiletries all provided and the gorgeous room had the most comfortable bed. We had no set plans and stayed in the area on a whim-they made sure we left the next morning with not only the best things to do in the surrounding area that weren’t necessarily on the tourist route, but with an understanding of the local history of the Cajun people and culture. We wish we could have stayed longer and have plans to come back again!

The hospitality and the breakfast

The location is amazing right on the bayou. There is a swimming pool and sun loungers as well as a hammock and a swing seat. Very quiet and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable and there is a water machine in the room with fresh cold or hot water. The hosts are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, cooked fresh with the most amazing blueberry scones and biscuits.

Low water pressure in the bathroom. Bathroom needs replacing as silicones sealant has become blackened with mould.

The location, the hosts, the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. Very peaceful

The breakfast was amazing! As a matter of fact we didn t make it to breakfast so they delivered it hot to our door!! Scrambled eggs, bacon, the best blueberry biscuits that I’ve ever tasted and sliced fresh fruit ! The hosts were super friendly and helpful!!

There was nothing that we didn’t like about our experience!
