Kitaguchi Tougakukan

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was nice to see Mt Fuji when I opened the window and an awesome view it was. Kitaguchi Tougakukan is close to many places of interest. We were even able to walk to eating places at night. The owner was very hospitable yet non-intrusive. I appreciate the convenience of being able to wash our clothes and have them dried via the exhaust fan in the bathroom (yes, there is this function that we can choose if we wanna dry our clothes). The Kitaguchi Tougakukan experience was a glimpse of Japanese life. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Nothing that we didn't like about the property. We read reviews that the house was cold, however, we didn't feel that way in winter. The hut was cosy with the necessary heating.

Everything was excellent except finding the road into the property at night was a challenge but the the owner was very nice and kind to lead us to the house.

The house is inside a lane which is hard to see especially at night with limited road lighting

Highly recommend this accommodation - it is so spacious, very clean and includes a BEAUTIFUL view of Mt Fuji! Location was great, its close to plenty of convenience stores and restaurants, and the train station is a walkable distance. This place includes a heater and air conditioner which was a bonus. Our sleep was so comfortable - it is so peaceful at night and waking up a view of Mt Fuji through the window was perfect. We are definitely coming back here!

Location, view, privacy and very comfortable. We loved our 2 nights here, waking up with an magnificent view on Fuji. Little walk from Fuji station, Family mart very near and also a few restaurants.

Good value and great views. Clean home, and the kitchenette is well-equipped. Just be aware that if you want to dry your clothes after using the washing machine, you can hang them in the toilet and turn on the dry/heat function. The host also gave clear instructions to find the entrance to the property, which is located off the main road down an alley. You can drive down that narrow alley. Many eating places are a short driving distance from the property. The conbini is a short walk away. The photo is the actual view of Mount Fuji from the living room. On a clear day, you can see it. On a cloudy day, it will not be visible. But we got lucky on the second day and it was glorious.

Incredible stay, everything was fully clean and functional, the host was very responsive so all good. Obviously, the view was perfect.

The owner was friendly although he spoke very little English. You are required to make your own bed on the tatami floor, using the mattresses, sheets and blankets provided. Everything was extremely clean and there were written English instructions for all the electric equipment. Nice view of Mt. Fuji!

We had a hard time finding the place and had to seek assistance from someone on the street. The place is located in a small alley surrounded by some other similar lodgings and some storage places.
