La Villa Langkawi - Private Pool

Brilliant premises with huge rooms and living spaces and a gorgeous private pool. Close to great eateries and the beach. We were granted early checkin and late checkout with no extra charge which was awesome. On arrival we were met by check in staff who were very efficient and were very pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary wine, drinks, and fruit. Overall we had a brilliant stay and would definitely book again.

Service from housekeeping was, at times, slow and we had to ask multiple times for coffee pods and additional bottled water. Despite the slowness, the staff were always pleasant and obliging.

The apartment is large and comfortably accommodated five people. There's a private pool and you can use the hotel pool. There's private parking which is very convenient. There are excellent restaurants right across from the hotel. But considering the downside, I think the price should be lower.

We ordered cleaning once, but they didn't clean very well, so we didn't ask again. When we checked in, there was ash in the ashtray and a can of beer in the trash can by the pool. They never removed them during cleaning. We asked for new towels, but they brought us holes in them. The dishwasher works terribly. The TV is very small for such a small space; couldn't they have installed a larger one? The air conditioners are old; when you turn them on, it's immediately cold, making it difficult to set a comfortable setting. Without air conditioning, it's hot. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, but they're not very convenient for cooking; the frying pan was scratched. For some reason, there are no teaspoons. The apartment is nice and large, but I'd say it's a 3-star (definitely not a 5-star). No breakfast. The beach is terrible; the water is murky and dirty. If you enjoy a beach vacation, this isn't the best option for you. We rented a car and drove to a neighboring beach, which was nicer.

minor issue - perhaps the front desk assistant can improve the way he explains the terms and conditions. Ill prefer to read rather than being pointed out the RM 500 (multiple times).. the pool is generally clean - except around the far ends.

Unfortunely the place called "private pool" but when I reached there the host told me room pool is NOT PRIVATE!. I had to upgrade my room to get private pool room. Felt like the name of the facility is intentionally misleading!
