The Manor - Old Town Rethymno, Crete

The location couldn’t have been more perfect. Steps to shops and restaurants but on a nice quiet street. The accommodations were wonderful and exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend this place to others.

This villa is probably the nicest we have stayed in. There were 8 of us, sisters & cousins aged 45 - 79. The beds were super comfy, the renovations are outstanding and the facilities are endless. There was literally everything you could possibly want. The host met us on the first night and left us an amazing amount of food, enough for that evening and breakfast for 2 days. The villa is very tastefully decorated to a very high standard. The garden and pool are lovely and the huge reclaimed table is absolutely stunning. You only have to walk 2 minutes from the villa and you are in the hustle and bustle of the old town. But because the villa is in a side street where cars are not permitted it is really peaceful.

The pool was too cold for us to use which was a shame.

Centrally located, very private, wonderful character and amazing pool area. Host provided all home comforts.

What a fantastic time we had here…. It started from the moment we walked through the door.. the kitchen was stocked with thoughtful and kind gifts and provisions which not only made us feel welcome it meant we could relax on our first evening as opposed to rushing out for provisions. Our excellent host Angeliki arrived a few minutes later to guide us through her superb property that has been modernized where it counts (kitchens and bathrooms) but maintained the fantastic character of this historic property in the heart of “old town”… beds were large and comfortable, yes even the sofa bed, AC’s worked well when needed… the outside area with pool was fantastic a real joy to unwind on holiday…. Literally minutes away from mini markets bakeries and the best of restaurants and bars this really was a 10/10 experience for us on every level, a host who really cares and understands what it takes, a fantastic property in the heart of a fun busy town that has maintained great charm while still being lively and fun…. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough

Stayed here as a group of 8 for our wedding week in Rethymno and every single one of us loved it here and agreed it is the best group accommodation we have ever stayed at! The host, Ageliki is amazing and goes above and beyond at ensuring you have everything you need throughout your stay, and even left us some welcome goodies which was extremely thoughtful. Everything you can possibly need from cleaning products to hairdryers to a washing machine is all inside this stunning villa. Inside is absolutely beautiful and charming with plenty of room. The outside is just incredible for lazy days by the pool and includes a BBQ, dining table, a pool, inflatables and more. Ageliki also kindly let us host a small hen do so we could enjoy a pool party one day which was incredible. Amazing location also with everything right on your doorstep. We will 1000% be back again for sure. Thank you Ageliki for your hospitality 🙏🏼

Nothing, we loved everything!

A beautiful villa which has been lovingly renovated over a 2 year period. The attention to detail is exceptional. The position is perfect in the old town with just a 5 minute walk to the restaurants & shops. Ageliki was the perfect host who provides such a generous welcome pack, which is the best that we have ever received from a host before. It meant that we did not need to go shopping when we arrived as everything has been provided. There is a superb bbq with everything required. A shed holds games, for playing in the pool for all ages. There are games to play & books to read. Everything is so well labelled that nothing left to chance. If there was a problem Ageliki was just at the end of a phone or email & she was so welcoming & obliging. There was an excellent bakery on the next street & a great selection of restaurants very nearby.

The only thing which might put people off is the graffiti on some of the walls in the little narrow streets. Don’t let it put you off as there is quite a lot of graffiti in Rethymno. For people with mobility problems the taxi cannot drive right up to the villa. It’s about 10 minutes walk to the drop off point. The staircase in the villa would not be suitable for people who struggle with staircases although there is a bedroom on the ground level. To access shower you have to climb into it .

Centrally located, excellent facilities. The host was so friendly and accommodating. She provided a very generous welcome pack.

Angeliki was perfect host, provided lots of welcome food and drinks on our arrival and very helpful Villa was amazing and great to have a pool within the old town
