Casa Joana at Opomar by Cara Rentals

Not having visiting Cabanas for a few years we noted that the town has grown and developed quite a bit. More choice for eating out, but definitely busier as well. O Pomar is located a little outside the town, but within easy walking distance, with a few shortcuts available. The complex itself is really nice, bar and restaurant on site are both excellent, and the fitness centre is small but well equipped. The pool is very nice, but as the complex got busier, getting a lounger was not always easy. But the staff and other guests were great and it was fairly managed. Casa Joana itself was excellent. More than enough space for our family of 5, balconies off each bedroom, each room ensuite, with a terrace to the rear - the kids did not want to leave. The accommodation was perfect - quiet and clean and excellent value. The team managing the accommodation were great to deal with. Highly recommended.

Did not like leaving...

We loved the property which had everything. Lovely furnishings and well equipped. We also enjoyed the garden area which had the right amount of comfortable outdoor furniture.

We would have benefitted from more information about bin collection and about the surrounding area like maps, travel, restaurants. Also we had 3 adults with no children so the new rules at the pool limiting 2 people per household to sun beds was quite stressful for us.

It was all lovely, quality house, ideal for six guests.

The location from the boardwalk was more than we would have liked, but that is the not the fault of the property.

Beautiful town house, very clean and everything you need. The top floor is beautiful, more like a suite than a bedroom. The OPomar complex is great, and walking distance to the Cabanas front & beach

House was clean, great facilities, good location, great outdoor space with nice seating. Nice complex with lovely pool, great food in Vert Inn and the Old barrell.

We were very disappointed to get an email a few hours before our flight to say there was a leak and we could not use the top shower or sink. This meant as there was no communal shower room the couple on the top floor had to shower etc in some of the other couples ensuite bathrooms. The leak appeared to be there a long time as in was visible on the staircase wall and in the bedroom. We should have been informed earlier and offered alternative accomodation. The only hair dryer in the apartment did not work.

Beautiful House in a clean & quiet complex. Tastefully decorated and very clean. We were able to drop our bags off as we arrived early and the lovely cleaning ladies gave us advice on the area where to shop, beaches, restaurants, etc, Large rooms, quality bedding & very comfy beds. Each room had its own bathroom and a lovely balcony to sit in the evening. Fully equipped kitchen & BBQ area, with everything a family needs for daily meals and some ice in the freezer for that all-important G&T on arrival. Everything was perfect with little touches like fluffy towels, beach towels, down to a couple of dishwasher tablets & a washing machine capsule just in case. A lovely walk down to the promenade offered boat taxis to the local beach, shops, and a good selection of restaurants or you can stay in the complex and use the communal pool and enjoy a drink and or meal at the local bar & restaurant. The house is also ideally situated to explore the Algarve, and even over to Spain. We traveled the 20 minutes to Vila Real and hopped onto the ferry to Ayamonte for the day We really enjoyed our Stay and Thank you to Anne & Dina for a wonderful stay in your beautiful accommodation.
