Casa Foz do Corgo - private pool, gardens and river access

A hospitalidade e atenção dos anfitriões foram impecáveis, sempre prontos a ajudar e a tornar a estadia especial. A vista é deslumbrante, a piscina maravilhosa, e o acesso direto ao rio torna tudo ainda mais encantador. A proximidade da Régua é perfeita para explorar a região.

Não é propriamente algo negativo, mas não estava preparada para a quantidade de escadas. Para quem tenha alguma limitação de mobilidade pode ser mais desafiante, mas, sinceramente, com tudo o que o local oferece, isso acaba por ser apenas um pequeno detalhe.

Really nice house with plenty of space and a lovely large pool. Great view from the pool and terrace. Very helpful host.

Great location and view. Great facilities. Garage parking. Great kitchen- well equipped. We liked the suite on the lower level. Loved the fresh oranges and lemons and access to river. Easy walk to bakeries, shops and train station (We recommend the MiroDuoro train to Pocinha.) we loved the infinity pool.

We travelled with a group of 5 (2 families). We were all in the modern casa, but based on the booking.com site, we believed that we had both the old and new. While we had lots of room in the modern building, based on the booking.com we were expecting both buildings. We were surprised to see other people staying in the old house overlooking our "private pool." Beds were too hard and we like firm mattresses.

This is a fantastic place to stay for groups. We were comfortable with 5 people. It is large, clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Just a short drive (or walk) to the heart of Peso da Regua. It was too early for the pool but it would be amazing in the hot weather. Very close to some excellent Quintas. The property managers were very helpful and accommodating. The unit has four stories and four flights of stairs from top to bottom, which is important to know in case of guests with mobility issues. We would definitely return.

Location is excellent for visiting vineyards. The house is new, spacious and very clean. It is well equipped. The garden and pool are lovely. The hosts were very helpful. The views are spectacular.

The house uses air conditioning to heat the bedrooms and living room. There are small radiators that heat the bathrooms. It was winter when we visited and the stairways and stairs were uncomfortably cold. There are radiators in these areas and the bedrooms and living room but they were not in operation. Customers should be aware that the house has 4 levels with stairs between each level. This was not a problem for us but may be for others.

Really nice location overlooking the river and great pool. We had a small issue with the rooms but this was sorted immediately and we were very grateful. Before the holiday there was contact to explain everything and gives ideas for activities and restaurants. Lovely house.

house was clean, quite quiet (some road noise in the upper bedrooms), very good kitchen, good water pressure and hot water. Nice views out over the garden. Well located. Modern and clean building. Fresh fruits from the garden. The house is laid out on several levels so not a place for someone who can't negotiate stairs. We would rent it again if in the Douro area.

The lighting was poor in the late afternoon/evening for reading and dining, a couple of well placed floor lamps would help greatly. The pot lights are not very bright and the ceilings are quite high so the amount of light produced is barely adequate There was no place to set down drinks when sitting in living room furniture. A couple of end tables or coffee tables/ottomans would be useful. It would be useful to have some instructions in English for the major appliances, even if only an overview page of the major functions, it was a guessing game trying to figure out the icons A small casserole dish or two would be helpful, the ones supplied were large Suggest putting teflon slides on the legs of the dining room chairs so they slide more easily and quietly. The kitchen has good knives but they badly need sharpening, or provide a knife sharpener We heard the trains but it was not intrusive
