Luxury Villa Marina

The location and view.

This is the first time I have ever had to complain about a property I have booked through Booking.com. Booking.com have been very helpful with this complaint. The Child’s Cot had no base/mattress - the host told me it was there but the mattress given did not fit the cot - the 18 month baby girl had to sleep on the floor on the mattress and kept rolling off. Mosaic tiles kept falling off in the pool and the baby kept picking them up and putting them in her mouth. We had no air con for two days. The Host said someone was coming out and they didn't arrive. Chased again, the host came out and looked at it but he couldn't fix it. The man who came to fix the aircon said the filters were filthy and we shouldn't be there breathing it in as they were a health hazard. He couldn’t come back until the next day but we were leaving. We paid an extra 208 euros for linen and a cot which included the tax per person however we didn't feel they were clean enough - dirty duvets and pillowcases. A cot that a child couldn’t even sleep in. We booked this property as the place looked really nice and the host had really good reviews. I think the photos of the villa are old ones when it was looking tidy to show the villa in a better state. Grass and weeds were growing around the astro turf by the railings. There were broken chairs around the pool and chairs with plastic peeling off them. It looked scruffy and had bits of the wall falling off by the doors. Outside there were decorating products, tools and more broken chairs about. We had no water and I had to message and ask why was there no water. There was a problem in the area but the host didn't communicate this to me. It's such a shame to have so many complaints as the view is spectacular and the location is good.
