Grand Villa Famara Puerto del Carmen

The villa was spotless, very comfortable, and beautifully set up. We especially loved the peaceful outdoor area and private pool. It was a great, quiet location, and Lola was incredibly welcoming and accommodating.

The only small thing was the pool could’ve used a net to clear the occasional flies etc , but it didn’t affect how much we enjoyed it!

We loved the villa - it was extremely spacious and comfortable and met all our needs. Dolores, our host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect in every way. Would highly recommend Villa Famara and have no hesitation in giving it a 5* rating.

It would have been nice to have a folder with info on how to work the tv and recommending places of interest and quality restaurants. However Dolores did help us with this.

The villa is in a quiet residential area approximately 15/20 minutes from the main tourist area, which was perfect for us, and nicely furnished both inside and outside. It was quiet and peaceful but still convenient for walking down for lunch or dinner. We didn’t hear our neighbours but did say hello when passing. A taxi uphill after dinner was only €5. We rented a car so we could explore the island and parking was easy. The pool was a good size and easily could accommodate a family or small group, and really appreciated the cleaner visiting during the week. We didn’t request heating but the pool temperature was good. We swam every day (and some evenings!), and appreciated that the pool wasn’t heavily chlorinated as some pools can hurt your skin and eyes with excessive chemicals. The charcoal BBQ was small but we still cooked on it a few times. The kitchen was well stocked with cups and plates, pots and pans, toaster etc and a reasonably sized fridge and freezer. We noticed a high chair, changing mat and travel cot so families would be comfortable. The washing machine was welcome as we could wash clothes and dry using the internal drying room. Two bathrooms (one family, one en-suite) and the water pressure was strong. The air con was good and the beds and pillows were comfy. There was also ample towels provided. The directions provided by Lola are perfect which we were grateful for as our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until the early morning. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return again with family. We enjoyed meals at El Toro and Restaurante El Cangrejo Rojo, so can recommend both.

Peaceful location. Was a good 15/20 mins stroll to main strip but that was fine with us . Property had everything you needed and very spacious and pool was lovely.
