Wir waren letztendlich nicht in der Villa Lilly, da wir uns die Hosts eine kurzfristige Location-Änderung angeboten haben. Daher durften wir unseren Urlaub in der Villa La Linde verbringen. Die Villa liegt direkt neben der Villa Lilly und ist um einiges größer und geräumiger. Es war einfach traumhaft und die Hosts waren äußerst hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich. Zur Schlüsselübergabe fuhr die Eigentümerin abends extra hin und hat uns dann noch die Villa gezeigt. Es war eine sehr schöne Auszeit mit einem schönen und äußerst zuvorkommenden Upgrade.

Wir waren zuerst etwas irritiert über die kurzfristige Umbuchung. Da es über La Linda noch nicht viele Reviews gab, waren wir uns zuerst nicht sicher, ob wir bei Anreise nicht schließlich ohne Unterkunft da stehen würden. Es hat sich glücklicherweise alles zum Guten gewendet und wir waren sehr froh, über das Upgrade zu La Linda.

The main entrance is very dangerous. The mirrors ouside are in a bad shape to see the incoming traffic. It is the only negative.

Communication in English was sometimes a bit difficult as the person managing the rentals was on vacation when we were there.

The property was amazing, exactly like pictures. The two master bed rooms are apart so there’s no fear of waking anyone up when staying with couples or as a group. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed. They even left us a bottle of wine when we checked in. A man came every day to clean the pool but very early in the morning, and housekeeping came every second day. It was fantastic.

The accommodation isn’t far from the town, but you couldn’t walk the distance to the strip. We had to get taxis when we wanted to leave which isn’t an issue and it was only around €5 each time. But it comes onto a main road but again this wasn’t much of an issue for us. Very easy to get a taxi in and out of the strip as the hosts leave a taxi card in the lobby for you to ring.

Our stay was amazing, and would highly recommend this stunning property. The place was stunning and the house very well designed. Ideal for anyone wanting a private, quiet and elegant place near Puerto del Carmen. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the harbour, but its a lovely walk by the coast, or a very short 5 minute drive into town. Pool was great, and the staff was excellent. I hope we can come back soon!

Not a negative, as we quickly got used to it, but driving out of the gate to the road can be tricky as visibility is limited. So just a warning to other guests to be careful coming out onto the road and be patient.

*****Please proceed with caution when booking this villa**** We booked to stay for 14 nights in late February / early March and sadly there were significant issues with the property. On the surface the property is lovely and looks just like it does in the photos, however what the pictures do not show you is that the property is essentially built underground and as a result is extremely damp. The levels of damp were so bad it made one of us very unwell, so much so that we had to cut short our trip and move into a hotel for the last three nights of our stay at significant additional expense. In addition to the damp problem (which may not be an issue in the peak summer season) there is a serious issue with the drains, especially in the master bedroom / ensuite and at certain times of the day and night the stench is unbearable. Finally, please note there is no heating in the communal areas of the house or the third bedroom and it does get quite chilly at night. I would definitely not recommend this house for anyone with any kind of breathing / lung issues or small children due to the issues described above. Possibly if you rented this property in the high season the issues we had would not be experienced but outside of high summer this house has significant issues.

The property is absolutely stunning, the photos on the website do not do it enough justice - it’s even nicer in person! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, regularly checking in with us and always making themselves available if needed. I can’t wait to go back!
