Ananda Private Villa

The staff is very welcoming and do the best to help us. The villa is close to the harbour and very beautiful.

It was a lovely place but we reached so late because of the ferry boat cancellations that we didn't get to truly enjoy the stay except for a few hours as it wasn't available for an extension. But I can imagine it would be a fantastic place for an extended stay.

There were few flies in the house that drove me crazy, maybe install a fly trap

I loved this house. It was quiet and felt very private. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the main street but close enough to have everything within a short walk. The garden and pool are not overlooked, and my kids had a great time playing in the pool, which is a pretty decent size for a 2-bed villa. I didn't notice the call to prayer from the mosque at night and slept really soundly. The sheets and towels smelled amazing, and the place was clean. Adi was lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast. The living room does get a bit hot, I'm sure if you left both air-conditioners on during the day it would be fine, but as we were out all day I turned them off.

The small toilet, which maybe doesn't get much use, doesn't smell the freshest, but we just kept the door closed.

the private pool was nice. it needed a little maintenance though and a good clean.

as other reviews keep mentioning the air con in the living area is ineffective. this is a large area and gets all the sun. it is a problem because it affects the rest of the villa. the villa looks beautiful on booking. com but in reality is very run down with many issues (plumbing mostly and broken air con, bad toilet which we chose to block off).

Great stay, highly recommend. Location was very good & staff were so friendly. Pool area is private and gets sun for most of the day.
