The location is pretty and serene. There are a few different activities to do, especially for young children. Food was enjoyable and the quantities were very sufficient.

The entire villa was full of mosquitoes. They were in the rooms, bathrooms and living areas. We brought this to their attention and they told us there wasn’t much they could do besides provide Goodnight plug-ins. The smell of goodnight continuously for 3 days was really unpleasant and gives you a headache. Some people are allergic to this strong smell. They should take more measures and fumigate the rooms before guests arrive or have the option of mosquito nets in case guests want them. The sliding door in our room was faulty, its alignment was off which left big gaps in the door on both sides. I have filled in these gaps myself with newspaper to prevent more mosquitoes coming in. There is no handle on the door and they were extremely difficult to move. We had to use our entire body strength to move them even a little because they would keep getting stuck. They should replace or repair the door. We had to keep shutting the door for the mosquitoes and it was very difficult to do so. The curtains, cushions and carpet rugs were not clean at all. The wall socket was not working. There was a lot of noise from the neighbors who had crying babies because all the noise comes through the corridor adjoining their villa. Overall it was not very clean and very overpriced for the facilities. These are things that can still be overlooked but the mosquitoes made it an absolute no. We take a lot of care in our homes with mosquitoes because we do not want dengue or chikungunya. When we come for a getaway we want to relax, not kill mosquitoes constantly or not have a full night’s sleep and on top of that have the risk of getting sick from them.

The Garden with the pool in Thira. The taste of the food. The quietness. The recreation facilities in the Garden and in Camp Max. Easy Comunication with staff and management very friendly discreet.

The readymade tea and coffee choice and taste. Smoking of other guests infront of the bedroom door. Everywhere there are double doors except at the entrance of the Thira flatt which leads directly to the bed room. Suggestion would be to provide a lock at the other entrance which was anyway used all the time by the staff. Would be more convenient for all and less disturbing for the guests who sleep in this bedroom.
