The Rock Villas

We loved everything about this villa. The decor is beautiful, the view stunning, and the villa is extremely comfortable and well equipped. It was an oasis of peace. The kitchen is so well equipped that we ate most of our meals at the villa just because it was such a welcoming space. We would definitely return.

Villa rock was stunning, a lovely one bedroom home with spectacular views. Very modern inside and with all the cooking utensils for a perfect sunset meal. Shower/bathroom was great, plenty of room and a shower that works very well. Lounge positioned, so you can chat whilst cooking and seated so the view is always available. Set up in the higher park or f town, about 6 mins drive from the Calheta bay. Several Levada walks within a few miles of the villa’s location. If you want a steady walk, use the Levada hikes as they flow an easier path. PR hikes are a must too. Check out the websites Madeira is a wonderful place to hike, swim, chill, mountain drive and then take in a football match. Also either side they have 2x two bedroom Villa’s, would make for a wonderful family holiday.

It was great

The villa has beautiful architecture and was very clean and well stocked with dishes and cooking implements. The salt water pool was very nice and we appreciated the parking right next to the entry.

My only issue with the villa is the banana trees that block the view of the ocean. They have grown since the pictures were taken and will keep growing. Using different landscaping plantings would dramatically improve this property.

We stayed at one bedroom villa for 3 nights. Villa was very beautiful and modern and exceeded our expectations. Gorgeous built ins throughout and it also has a murphy bed in the living room. It was very handy to have Laundry and full kitchen were great. Comfortable bed and spacious rooms.

One thing, villa does not have AC and no door screens to prevent bugs from coming in, so we had to keep doors closed at all times to prevent giant spiders and other large bugs to come inside. Also heads up if booking make sure to bring your own coffee or tea. There is a supermarket just down the road.

Location, Interior and Design of the house are just beautiful. Also the host was very kind and helpfull. We will book again if we come back on the island
