Villa Torricella Amalfi

I was looking for a special place along the Amalfi Coast to celebrate my 50th birthday. Villa Torricella Amalfi and the hosts Lella and Oliviero were exceptional. The house is perfectly located; it’s close enough to Amalfi (about a 10 min walk) for easy access to the restaurants, shopping, and ferries. But it’s location in Atrani (the small town next to Amalfi) provides a bit of peace away from all the other tourists. And the public lift (when it is working) was very useful for transporting luggage and for minimizing the number of stair steps you have to take to get to and from the property. There are two things that stand out about Villa Torricella. First, the stunning views from the two bedrooms and from the rooftop solarium/terrace. But most importantly, Lella and Oliviero are absolutely wonderful hosts. Communicating with them prior to the trip was very easy. They helped coordinate transfer for us from the Naples airport and were there to greet us at the property when we arrived. I think Lella was previously the manager for a luxury hotel, and her experience in the hospitality industry shines through. She and Oliviero have thought about every detail to: from helping to book transfers and private drivers, to filling the fridge with free groceries for our stay, to the little touches (clothespins to hang your laundry, beach bags and beach towels). And they were so sweet that they surprised me with a delicious birthday cake from a local bakery! We also thoroughly enjoyed the private boat charter with Oliviero!

There was nothing we did not like about the property.

Oliver and Lella are the absolute perfect hosts! They think of everything for your stay! They also were so very kind to help us with travel arrangements and reservations upon request. The apartment was clean and was in an area that was convenient yet quiet. The beds were soft and cozy, the bedrooms were spacious and with air conditioning. The boat ride they arranged and prepared for us was our very favorite thing we did on our trip!

The whole apartment was amazing. Amazing views from both bedrooms, living room and private rooftop patio. The host provided complimentary groceries for breakfast, coffee, quick meal, and snacks and had wine available for purchase. Huge + given it’s hard to find a grocery store with out a car in town. The apartment was very spacious.

I had no complaints. The patio needs some shade for the very hot summer days.

We arrived to a warm welcome and introduction to the property and local area by our hosts Lella and Oliver. They have thought of every little detail to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible, even going so far as to stock the fridge with essentials and a fully stocked wine fridge. The property was perfect for our family of five, very well situated within easy walking distance of Amalfi and neighbouring Atrani. The views are spectacular overlooking the sea from each of the bedrooms (which have their own balconies). The view is particularly magnificent from the sun terrace where you have a panoramic view of the Amalfi coastline. We really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Villa Torricella was in a great location right between Amalfi and Atrani. It is a huge spacious villa with great views and an amazing rooftop terrace. It's wonderful when you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of Amalfi after a busy day and relax. Our hosts were lovely too and went over and beyond to make sure we were settled.
