Villa Oasi del Relax Flavianna

Villa Oasi del Relax is a little house where you can certainly spend a nice time, it is close to the beach (10 minutes walk) and close to the town, while being in a peaceful countryside. It was clean and well equipped. The owners seemed to be nice elderly people and offered me a meal on the first day and allowed to eat fruits from their garden.

I have chosen Villa Oasi del Relax because of two main reasons: wi-fi and peaceful area. I needed them, because I wanted to work remotely from there. Unfortunately, I didn't get both. Despite the description that wi-fi is free and available at all areas, the only working connection I could get was at the owners house, which is next to the villa. It was okay that owners allowed me to sit in their place, but it was really inconvenient for me as I wanted to have my own private space to work. And the connection was very bad anyways, so eventually I had to use my phone as a router and got charged for huge data usage while roaming. First 5 days were peaceful indeed, but on 6th day a drilling machine woke me up in the early morning. The same happened for my last, 7th day. The owners started the renovation of their house (which is 10 meters from the villa). There was no way that I could work or relax there anymore. Owners said that it was an emergency caused by the rain from previous day but I do not believe that they could so fast organize full team of workers setting up huge scaffolding. I asked for a partial refund for my stay but owners dismissed the request, therefore my overall rating of this place is low. The description lied about the wi-fi in the villa - and that facility was a must have for me. I raised the problem on the 1st day and it wasn't fixed. The renovation situation was absurd as owners should make the house unavailable for rent at that time. And even if it was an emergency, they should have warned me about it and offered a discount, that's the kind of behavior I would expect from them and it would make the overall rating of the stay much higher. Moreover, the hosts have even charged me with additional city tax. This wasn't in the description of the villa as well. In my opinion this should be stated explicitly or included in the price.
