Villa Galeasi

Like a fairytale. Beautiful and impressive house. Outdoor areas are fantastic and the pool big. Daria and Marcantonio are the best and most welcoming and dedicated hosts!

Dear Marcantonio, It wasn't like a typical accommodation that you rent for a while and that's it. It felt like a special honor to live and celebrate in this breathtaking and habitable family heirloom. Why do I write "accommodation" and not "house"? Even "villa" is actually not the correct term, even though the estate is called Villa Galeasi. It's a castle, and you feel like Italian nobility. The overall size is comparable to a small hotel complex. The driveway and the main entrance alone are picturesque. Every corner is full of history, authentically present and not pieced together from flea markets like in other places. The property is vast, and we also took a great hike to the caves behind the pool house. The courtyard is the heart of the estate, where we spent several wonderful evenings with our family late into the night. With 14 people, we had plenty of space, and everyone could find some privacy if needed, though it wasn't necessary. We renewed our marriage vows after 10 years, and it is a dreamy location for small wedding celebrations. What made it extra special was the warm service from Marcantonio. He provided us with two real Italian cooks who treated us to authentic Italian home-cooked meals and specialties for lunch and dinner. On the evening of the celebration, there was also a buffet. Every day the food was excellent. Anna Maria and Tiziana were so warm-hearted, we would have loved to take them both with us. It was incomparable and for us, the real Italy. Additionally, Marcantonio arranged transportation for our guests from Bari. We must also mention Franco, who at over 80 years old was always up for a chat (even if only in Italian 😂) and without being intrusive, made our stay even more special. We only needed help with one minor issue during our stay, and Franco was there with a solution within minutes. We lacked nothing in the house and pool. Another highlight is the "pool"...

A beautiful property filled with history, great for family reunions, well equipped pool space, perfect place for ping pong and bocce tournaments, wonderful and helpful host. An Italian dream!

Inside very roomy, lovely furnishings and spectacular rooms. Outside terrific large courtyard and large swimming pool. Views around the grounds lovely.

No dislikes. Pathway through to swimming pool was a little bit too rustic but still OK.
