Villa La Mia Sicilia

Het huis, de rust en prive zwembad. Het huis was heel koel, muggengaas, airco’s, aan alles is gedacht. Zonnepanelen, lichtknopjes die ook in de slaapkamers zijn verwerkt voor het ganglicht. Wasmachine, 2 douches plus appartementje bij hrt zwembad waar onze 22 jarige dochter haar ‘eigen ruimte’ had, volledig voorzien van bad, toilet en keukentje. Kortom, mooi huis! Het zwembad en de tuin waren ook goed onderhouden en er is zelf gedacht aan een speelruimte in de tuin dat in de schaduw zit met 2 buiten douches. 1 voor de speeltuin en eentje voor het zwembad. Vanuit het zwembad kijk je uit over een stad en de zee of kan je naast de mooie pony’s zien. Er is ook een volledige buiten keuken met bbq en wastafel. Angelo, zijn vrouw Concetta en dochter Ludovica wachtten ons op. Een paar dagen later brachten ze ons heerlijke Cannoli van de banketbakker, Angelo en Concetta op hun klassieke Vespa! Schitterend! Als wij weer in de buurt zijn, zullen we zeker weer deze heerlijke plek boeken! We hebben genoten!

Reasonable price and good location. Angelo and family as check in hosts were great and really accommodating to our changing schedule.

Furniture all needs replacing with something comfortable or not broken.

Beautifully restored property - the owner’s great grandfather’s farm. Very private, good outdoor space and pool. Surrounded by fields and the owner’s family’s properties. DIshwasher, washing machine, a/c in bedrooms and sitting room and Italian style kitchen. Great views, good outdoor seating areas, old trees providing shade. House was very old so cool even when it was hot outside - we didn’t need to use the a/c Very kind and responsive hosts - helps to know some Italian. They were generous and helpful. Down a gravel track - no passing traffic, only accessible by car Lots of good beaches and places to visit nearby. Montalbano fans will have plenty to see!

Nearby properties (owned by the owner / his brothers) were used for local parties on a couple of occasions (music and swimming) and were a bit noisy. The properties are on the other side of fields and the house is surrounded by trees / hedges so we could not see the parties or feel overlooked by them. However, the walls are thick and with windows closed it was quiet in the house.
