North Manor Nakuru

David was very helpful, nice and big accommodation , in a gated community, very close to the Lanet Gate for Lake Nakuru national park.

It is about a 15 min drive to the centre of Nakuru, and it's a bit off the beaten track, would recommend arriving during the light.

Beautiful house…The beds were very comfortable. The place was very clean and homely. Feels very secure and the host is very helpful and responsive. Provided everything we needed and good recommendation for food. Family friendly for kids too. You definitely need a car to get around.

A faulty alarm that kept going off throughout the night but the host assured us that it is a recent thing and in the process of being fixed

Great villa with lots of space - 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room. Was great to hang out and relax after a few exhausting safari days. TV even comes with Netflix so that was a plus for a calm afternoon. David the caretaker is super helpful. He arranged a game drive to Nakuru NP for us. It cost 12.000 KES (75 USD) for about 6h drive which is enough. Especially since all western areas of the park are currently inaccessible due to flooding.

Take into account the house is far from city Center for shopping/dining. We cooked ourselves so was not a problem. Also the gate to the compound is always locked and you cannot open it. so you need to call the caretaker to leave/come back home. Have a SIM card ready!

The property is close to the highway which was very convenient. You have to travel for a whole to get to town so you definitely need a car though there is public transport like a few kms from the house.

I didn't like that I had to check in at 2pm and check out at 10am. Check in at most places is usually 10 am. You are charged 2000 for every extra hour you stay after checkout.

David, the caretaker, was great. Very attentive to our needs and responsive. The properties (we rented two) were very comfortable - all the small details were thought of! And the beds were very comfortable. It was also very quiet - which was a pleasant surprise! And the property is only 5 minutes from the gate to Lake Nakuru!

The lighting in the kitchen wasn't great - but it was not a big problem.

Large comfortable accommodation for a reasonable price. David was helpful and available whenever we needed him. Good security. Very close to one of the gates to Nakuru National Park.

There is a twisty dirt road to the property.
