Owner very knowledgeable. Set in nature. Attentive friendly staff. Historic beautiful house. Refreshing swimming pool. Amazing dinners and breakfast.

This is a special experience, not your ordinary hotel. We got the entire house to ourselves; three bedrooms, two baths, one pool. And sleeping for up to 9 people available. Living room available. Great view from the pool over the hills. I recommend to spend some time at this house also, not only to sleep and leave. The owners offer breakfast and dinner each day. For dinner, we discussed in the morning what to prepare and for when. For breakfast, the staff served a substantial breakfast at the table. Each afternoon we had tea served by the staff. Staff for the house are included and support throughout the day, they are around the house all day.

The location is calm and remote, so don't expect to walk to any restaurant. Thus, you can be more inclined to use the dinner at the premises. Breakfast is served at the house, but you do not have many other alternatives. Dinner and breakfast add up quite a lot to the bill.

If you stay in this villa you’ll have the unique opportunity to travel in time, to the past. This house is like a museum! And the history of the house and the family is astonishing. You can’t stop admiring each detail. The way the hosts and houskeepers ladies take care of you is also something uncommon. The infinity swimming pool and the mountain view make also this stay an unforgettable experience.

Breakfast and evening dinner were both fabulous, but the location is quite far out of Kandy and a bit difficult to find. We had our own driver, but without this it would have been tricky.

A reminder that we needed to pay in cash for everything (room & dinner & breakfast) would have been useful as I thought payment had gone through via booking.com
