BEACH VILLA ROCCA

We arrived at night in the dark but WOW when we woke up to the view we knew we were in paradise. The pool and pool area was magnificent (and used the gas BBQ every morning to make breakfast) and we had our own private beach and a kayak to use - bliss!! Guy-Alain met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know. Grand Baie has a bigger supermarket so try and do your shop there - either USave or La Croisette mall supermarket. (15 min drive so highly suggest hiring a car - we used Hope Rentals and Robert delivered car to our door). Great Wifi. We had the best family time together and wished we could have stayed longer.

Nothing that spoiled our holiday but feel the kitchen was a bit small for the size of the house and not the cleanest but we managed.

The villa had a beautiful view, and the staff on site were very friendly—especially Mr. Guy Alain and the cleaning lady, Davina (apologies if I’ve misspelled her name). The pool was definitely the highlight.

Unfortunately, the pool water didn’t seem properly disinfected. Therefore, both boys developed ear infections, which were confirmed by the doctor. There was a grill but the whole area around the grill was dirty and the grill itself. Because of this we weren't able to use it. The entrance gate also had some problems after 2 days and didn't close at all for the rest of our stay at the Villa.

Perfect place for vacation in Mauritius. Very well equipped with all kinds of facilities including canoes.

The cleaning service can be better.

Lokalita byla výborná a vila je moc krásné a klidné místo. Moře mělké a teplé, bazén moc pěkný a teplý.

Nepohodlné lavice pro naši partu pro sezení venku. Majitel nedokázal zajistit v naši nepřítomnosti, aby místní výrostci nechodili na pozemek, kde se pravidelně koupali v bazénu. Jednou ho tak znečistili, že jsme se nemohli 24 hodin koupat. Také odcizili věci z terasy jako krémy na opalování, plavky atd. Vila je opravdu super, ale by tam měl být nějaký hlídač. Za celou dobu nebyl doplněn toaletní papír, přestože jsme o to žádali. Pozor pouze dva pokoje mají koupelnu a jen jeden z těchto dvou pokojů záchod. Jinak jsou záchody a sprcha společné v každém patře.

I always hesitate to share a secret find…A very comfortable and well appointed villa with gorgeous views from most rooms and direct access to secluded beach on to a very shallow lagoon. Rocca has been carefully designed around friends and family beach living. There are several sun terraces, both open and covered and plenty of external dining spaces either overlooking infinity pool or by bbq and abundant trees and shrubs. It was ideal for our party of 5 adults and 2 infants but could accommodate more (but that would spoil the luxury of space!). The owners have been generous in sharing their own equipment (no locked cupboards for private crockery!). Laundry and kitchen are all sufficient and in good order everywhere, as is the a/c in all bedrooms. The entire property is well looked after and managed professionally. We had a recurring difficulty which the manager did their best to address, and for which the owners personally ensured we had no complaints. Security has been carefully considered and we felt at ease. It is hard to imagine a better place- and we know Mauritius very well!

These are not criticisms but may help others. A car is essential.

Private beach, beautiful surroundings and the scenery is so beautiful. Perfect family getaway. Local area is a true creole fishing village.

Location is a little from and vibrant night life such as Grand Baie. The neighbouring property had a party from Saturday evening to Sunday 7am playing heavy trance music which was deafening. You have to come to this property expecting the host to give you any essential like garbage bags. Or toilet paper ( only half rolls in each toilet was provided) do not come straight from the airport after 9pm to this property as nothing will be provided. You pay for the beauty not comfort.
