Simply stunning views and proximity to attractions. Lovely open plan kitchen/living area and quirky swimming pool surrounded by vineyards.

Bedrooms and bathrooms were a little cramped and beds were not the most comfortable. Directions to find the property were bit vague so took us a while to find it.

We have been accused of breaking the patio doors. This is just not true!! the doors were not locked on arrival and the person cleaning will known of this. The pool was dirty on arrival and a man arrived the second day to clean it with not letting us know he was there!!! this was our private area!! you do not just enter the property with out warning. We were accused of using pool at 1am we did not know there was a cut off time!!! no key on arrival. Dirty waste bins with previous trash. lovely place just before you start accusing people get your facts right!!

The photos on the website do not do justice to the panoramic views both up and down the Douro valley with a view of Pinhao at the bend of the river in centre. It really is an incredible spot. Also the property is much nicer than it seems in the photos or some of the reviews suggest. It’s an upside down house with the living area, kitchen and terrace upstairs and then the bedrooms, bathrooms and pool access downstairs. The air conditioning works very well throughout and there are views from pretty much every window. Plus the house has everything you need in terms of kitchen equipment, fridge and freezer space and laundry facilities. It was clean and a delight to stay in. The pool is really just a plunge pool but very private and when it was 38° outside we just felt very lucky to have a dip with an amazing view.

Downstairs feels more functional and basic. The room with the double bed has the bed against the wall on one side and that en suite doesn’t have a loo in it but there is another separate bathroom for that bedroom to use. No smells, plenty of hot water and beds perfectly comfortable which other reviews suggested were issues. Any negatives are more than worth putting up with for the amazing location and the upstairs. Our main issue with this property which must be entirely correctable is one which another reviewer has already mentioned and it’s that’s it’s not where booking.com says it is! Both the address and map location are completely wrong. It is signed from the road but you won’t see it if you are looking for a property at the other end of the village. It’s off Rue da Central and if you are coming up the hill it’s on the bend just before the church - down a very steep side road to the left but best to park up behind the bin at the top as advised.

The manager was always very friendly and responsive. She even agreed to move our booking by a day at the last minute (our flight was cancelled and rescheduled at the last minute). The location is good.

First of all, the address given on Booking is incorrect. It refers you to a place which is not very far away but which is different. It needs to be corrected. Secondly, the accommodation only has a front door and a window on the mezzanine plus a small skylight. It is a little too dark. It is also cold (or at least it was when we visited). The host helped us by bringing us wood for the stove, but it took time to heat everything. The hot water in the shower only came out for the first 5-10 minutes, boiling, and then cold Our flat had a panoramic window on the mezzanine, from which we could partially glimpse the village, as a building in the foreground hid it. This was not really clear from the photos in the ad.

There's a person who takes care of the property across the street. But, he was unable to fix all the problems.

The property has shower plumbing issues that weren't addressed when we reported it. There was no hot water for the entire 3 night stay for 3 people. They said they'd send a plumber to fix it. NOTHING HAPPENED. Plus, the address is different in the posting versus the actual house.

Very spacious and warmly Villa . All the required amenities and above that. Truly superb view over the valley. You can sit and just stare for hours. The village is 10-15 minutes drive from Pinaho. Nothing to do in the village itself (which is exactly what we wanted - a quiet spot not within a city, with all the requirements and a superb view). Host was very, very helpful when needed You must have a car to get there and back - hard to get taxis there

The view from the property is magnificient. Getting to property is easy and Pinhao town is nearby. This property has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate families. The pool is small and has jacuzzi. The hosts communicate promptly.

We were not too happy with their bathrooms. They were not nicely planned and were smelly. It actually got inconvenient for us even though we were all family members.
