Very spacious and modern, great having two kitchens but was limited with facilities or appliances with large groups. The downstairs kitchen needs an oven

On arrival there was no running water, some lights didn’t work and in some rooms the air con wasn’t working. There were no maid service, there were no fresh towels until I had to ask four times and they arrived two days before leaving. The floors throughout the whole property were filthy and dusty. The showers were unsafe as the water poured out and into the bathroom area. Maintenance men arrived, left lots of equipment in the drive including metal poles which is a health and safety hazard. The maintenance men also came to cut weeds off the floor while the other guy had a leaf blower and blew all the debris all over everyone’s towels and also into the pool which we then had to get the net out to sort. The bbq area is far too small for the size of the property. The pool wasn’t maintained throughout our stay, the bottom of the pool floor was filthy. The small pool had sand and pebbles all in the bottom and should not be our responsibility to clean. The oven was too small in the main kitchen. The gate fob was very unpredictable leaving us parked half on the pavement and half off onto the main road which was dangerous until we managed to get in. Sometimes having to leave the car on the road. The response time from the travel agent got less and less and sometimes took a few days. When paying that amount of money I would expect someone there on arrival to greet us. There was no welcome pack, when paying that amount of money I would have expected bread, milk and water to put us on till the morning. With a group this size in a villa this expensive I would have expected cooler boxes to assist us in being able to visit different beaches. There were not enough sun loungers for how many the villa sleeps and there were not enough parasols. I have been in quite a few villas and with this one I almost felt the company was not prepared for tourists to visit and stay. Our family want to go back to Portugal but this villa would need sorting before considering it again.
