Palms Villa

The property is fabulous. It is lovely and cool inside with plenty of space and the addition of the little pool is brilliant. The outside dining facilities were perfect with plenty of shade and different areas to utilise. Location is fabulous, you will need to drive to get to the town but it is minutes away and you may feel comfortable waking it.

Most likely personal preference but the bed was very uncomfortable.

On the of May I wanted to book a villa through booking.com. The pictures looked beautiful, I have attached the images below within this email. What attracted us was the clean outside swimming pool and Jacuzzi that was presented In the photos. Sadly when we arrived it was nothing like the photos. The owners behaviour was strange she asked me to transfer the money directly to her to stop any fees going to booking.com. I declined and said I have already paid through the website because I thought my money would be protected through the website. When we arrived my heart sank, it was nothing like the pictures and no sea view, no swimming pool, the outside area was disgusting and smelt like dead fish everywhere. I was in a state of shock that she was charging us £1300.00 for the week. The place was so dirty dusty and old. And strangely had a big washing machine in the bathroom that was not in the pictures. The old side tables where covered in mo Myself and my partner was so upset what we had arrived at, we knew this apartment was not fit for us to stay in and we realised we had been scammed. I was so upset I tried to contact the owner in tears, explaining we would be leaving because this was not what we paid for. To are disbelief booking.com advised us the owner had to agree with us leaving before we could get are money back! The owner advised us she was in bed and broke her back and booking.com needed to pay us because she did not want to lose her money. We tried so hard to try and get a resolution advising the owner we would be leaving straight away. I have sent you a copy of the text message below in this email. A few Moments later I received a email from booking.com saying there are unable to come to a resolution. Which means we have paid £1300.00 for somewhere we didn’t even stay! To Are amazement the owner said to us on the phone that this is happened a number of times.

It was perfect for our family holiday with our 1 year old. The pool was fantastic and the home was very comfortable, central and with great views of the ocean.

Giuseppina couldn’t have been more accommodating. She collected us from the airport and explained all the sights along the way. Left us a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our honeymoon and also a bottle of her homemade olive oil! She also dropped us back at the end of our stay and checked in to make sure all was okay along the way even bringing us clean towels. She was so friendly and made us feel completely at home, telling us to message if we needed anything and helped with everything from bus time tables, taking us to the supermarket on our first day and sorting out car hire. The loveliest woman I have ever met! We won’t hesitate to go back and stay again, next time with our children! If I could give more stars I would! Thankyou so much for making our honeymoon perfect!

Giuseppina was a very helpful host

The location of this property is perfect. Close to a charming town, stunning secluded beaches, Zingaro Reserve. The pool and patio area is perfect for relaxation, and outside dining with bbq, very well equipped. Giuseppina was in touch during our journey there to guide us, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. I cannot wait to come back to explore more of this beautiful Island of Sicily.

We stayed at Palms Villa for two weeks (20 month old baby, 2 parents, 2 grandparents). We absolutely loved it. Friendly, helpful hosts who dealt with a minor hot water problem quickly. Pool is quite small but ideal for the baby. Easy walk to Scopello and good supermarkets a short drive away. Good WiFi. Nice beaches. Perfect!

The entrance is very tight for a big car (we had an SUV).

Great location just outside of the village of Scopello. A lovely villa with great views over to the sea and the mountains behind. The inside of the villa is neatly furnished with a great sitting area, two bedrooms and a nice bathroom and shower. Giuseppina was very helpful and checked up that everything was good for us. There is a small pool and a very useful outdoor kitchen/barbecue behind the house. For a bigger swim, it’s a short walk down the hill to a great small beach with a couple of cafes and beds to hire or you can drive down and pay in the car park if you don’t want the hike up again. Easy stroll into beautiful Scopello with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Lots to see and do around the area - highly recommend it.
