Kitchen very poor. Cutlery very dirty

We loved Le Mirage. The house / villa itself is great, as are the grounds. Our host, Chris, couldn't have been more helpful, and is now a friend, not just a host. Location wise: The Flic en Flac beach is a 5 minute walk away. Snorkeling is fun there too. The local grocery store and other shops are a 2 minute walk away. Fresh French bread is sold there every day. Big hotels and restaurants are anything between 5 and 15 min walks away. Spas too. The street food kiosks make great food too! The bus stop is just outside the shops, you do not need to hire a car. Although it is so close to everything, the location is quiet, with very little traffic noise - we just heard the birds in the gardens around us. Le Mirage has a 'sister' villa, Le Reve D'Or, on the same property, but far enough away so that those guests don't disturb you. If you are wanting to bring a big crowd of family and friends to Mauritius on holiday, this is your ideal destination. Both houses have 3 bedrooms. I could stay there forever!

Great location for families with children, approximately 7 mins walk to the beach. The owner is really nice and welcoming. He was always available everytime we needed help. Villa is clean, spaceous and modern.

Despite the owner trying his best to re-set the box, the wifi connection was very low which was not ideal on the days I had to work

I liked the location: close to the beach, close to shops There is a washing machine and a barbecue (but an old dirty grate) Air conditioners are working fine. The villa has a good layout.

We lived in the villa for a week. When checking in, the owner tried to charge us money for the final cleaning, but this is the responsibility of the owners - be careful, don't be fooled. The villa needs renovation and change of furniture and plumbing. Terrible old smell in the rooms 1. The description of the villa is misleading: these are 2 villas on the same territory, the pool is shared, the territory is shared - you will relax with other people. 2. Dirt: everything is dirty: glass remains on the floor, dirty dishes, mold in the bathrooms. And cockroaches... small, big.... a lot every day. The owner sprayed us from cockroaches - a terrible stench. 3. The furniture is old, creaky, musty smell. Pillows and bed linen reeked of this mustiness. There are sunbeds by the pool - tattered, old. The doors to the bedrooms need to be replaced for a long time - old, they close with a creak 4. Plumbing with mold, water faucets are old and do not work. The owner, according to the complaints of the tenants, partially changes them, but this does not save. 5. The description of the villa is misleading: the beds are only 139-140 wide. It's terrible, these are small beds not for two people 6. Disgusting Internet: just the owner saves. We thought that on the island this is not true. Internet in other villas is excellent. 7. There are a lot of dishes, but it is old, dirty, a pot with Teflon - scratched - you can’t cook in it. Cutlery is all sticky. Refrigerator is old and leaking. There is a coffee maker - but there are no bags for brewing coffee, and we never found them in stores / supermarkets. 8. Water is a different story: either boiling water or cold. Faucets do not work, wash normally never happened in a week. 9. Well, the "cherry on the cake" - the alarm is always yelling, you have to close everything - and because of this, the smell is musty inside the villa. 10.

The villa is in a quiet area yet a 6 minute walk to Flic en Flac beach. I was alone for the week I was there and I felt very safe. There is a convenience store within 2 minutes walk which has almost everything you might need plus gifts to take home. Christian is a very kind and thoughtful person. He went out of his way to help when I needed help with transportation the last day I was there. I will definitely stay here again when I come back and I recommend the villa to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom accommodation close to the beach.

Lovely place with helpful landlord!

Beautiful villa close to the nice beach of Flic en Flac. There is a pool and a nice garden. The villa itself is big, comfortable and can easily accommodate a family.

We just loved it here (some things were a bit old, but functional)
