Fonte Santa Villa

Villa & pool were really good but we did have a few maintenance issues while we were there. Staff: Marcela (facilitator) & Diego (maintenance man) were really excellent.

Pool cover needs replacing; it was a real pain. We also had a water leak but it was fixed next day after local easter holiday.

Incredible space, pool, games room and just an amazing family villa.

Nothing.

Marcela was attentive and answered all questions before our travel and was on hand for anything we needed during our stay. When we arrived we were met by her assistant Sandra who was friendly and showed us around the property, there was a welcome pack including bread, milk, fruit, tea and coffee which was great. The gardener was at the property when we arrived but apart from that we didn't see any other staff during the week, there isn't a maid service, but that suited us perfectly, keep ontop of your own stuff and it really isn't necessary. The house is fabulous, its clean and spacious, a bit dated maybe but that didn't matter at all, we are a family of 6 with older kids and had plenty of space for family time and for everyone to chill and do their own thing. The games room is fabulous and the gym seems well equipped but we didn't use it. The pool is lovely, a good size and has steps at the shallow end to enter as well as a ladder at the deep end It is set in a beautiful garden, which gets auto watered by sprinklers at night Tip: remove you stuff from the sunbeds at night or it will get a soaking! The pool inflatables provided were a nice touch. Lidl is literally in sight from the property, we didn't hire a car and were able to walk back and forth to get everything we needed for the week and were able to bbq most evenings. We did try the nearby restaurant which is known as the chicken shack, its good food and very cheap, advise booking as it gets super busy with long queues after about 7pm We were provided with a local taxi company who we used all week, Jose and his son were always available from wherever we were within 20 minutes or so, VilaMoura was our favourite place, Old Navy restaurant is amazing food and cocktails and overlooks the harbour, there's a good array of shops and restaurants here, it's about 15 minutes in the taxi from the villa, its where we also took a boat trip from and tried the paragliding, ...

Really no major negatives at all, beds weren't particularly comfortable but it's a holiday home, so to be expected. Location for beach is about 20-25 minute walk, which will suit some and not others
