Great position in a beautiful setting and a friendly welcoming village.

The Nature Villas were the perfect place to end our 12 days of exploring Portugal. The villa is surrounded by stunning views in a quite agricultural village. If you are looking for a peaceful place to truly relax and love nature, this will hit the spot! It was easy to pop over to the other small seaside villages for more restaurants and exploring. There is a small grocery store just down the road near the church with basic supplies (and fresh bread in the way back of the store low down in baskets). There is a nice (but at times rocky) walk around the "green" lake. We enjoyed making our morning coffee and strolling down to the lake to enjoy the beauty and many types of birds and flowers. The host was very responsive as well. We would definitely stay again!

The bed was comfortable, but my preference would be for better pillows. Maybe the host can get a couple memory foam pillows to add to the mix. I worried at first about the request to not flush toilet paper, but the bin next to the toilet had a tight top and it was not an issue, even after 4 days. It wasn't an issue, but be prepared to empty 2 dehumidifiers at least once a day as the climate is very humid on Sao Miguel.

Great location and relaxing space with easy parking

Location was good: near the lake and a short walk from a mini-mart and snack bar. The exterior of the house is charming.

The interior of the space is not well designed: seating was two chairs, no table adjacent; the main bedroom was very, very cold (the heater is in the living area, not the bedroom); the kitchen is very basic and awkwardly laid out. Most importantly, the loft bed was not made and there were no sheets; housekeeping forgot to provide coffee pods and oversight seems to be from the mainland so things are not as they should be. Everything seemed to be a done on a budget (for example, tiny liquid soap and shampoo bottles). A gate to one side of the property - right outside the bedroom- was broken and banged loudly in the wind all night.

We had a great stay. The house is situated close to the lake in a quiet road. We had everything we need and it was very comfortable.
