Villa Desirée - Scopello-Villas

The location was stunning, the villa was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The complimentary red and white wine was a lovely gesture. The gardens and pool were beautiful and well maintained. Check out was 10am but the host kindly let us stay until 12. The pretty village of Scopello is about a 5 minute drive away. The village has a lovely square with all the restaurants you need. There are also some gift shops and hotels. There is a supermarket and pharmacy about a 5 minute drive along the road. If you continue on down the road outside the villa you will come to a lovely beach with 2 cafes and there are sunbeds to rent. We found the Sicilian people to be very warm and friendly. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

The villa is sold as a 3 bed but the bedroom on mezzanine floor is accessed by a builders ladder which we felt was unsafe. As a result my daughter. who was due to stay on the mezzanine, choose to stay in a hotel nearby which was an extra cost. If a proper staircase was installed it would be perfect. The outside and pool area had lots of steps and different levels and as we had a 2 year old with us we had to be very watchful. Understandably because the villa is built in a hilly area it would be very difficult to make it small child, elderly or disability friendly

The location was absolutely perfect, the house was spotless and had everything we needed. Stunning terrace and perfectly sized, perfect temperature pool. Loved the stash of local wine - both complimentary bottles on arrival and further bottles to buy for a very reasonable 10EUR.

The mezzanine room could be made more comfortable with the addition of a fan, working lamp and thicker curtains/blinds on the main room windows. Decking around the pool rather than astroturf, which became incredibly hot in the sun! A collection of pool toys would be a nice touch (we left the ones we bought while there for our children)

Location was absolutely stunning, the house was equipped with absolutely everything one would need on holiday. The outdoor area was mostly where we spent our time, it was very quiet and relaxing. If you are looking for a bit of peace, this house is the one! I did not want to leave

Extremely disappointing, after such beautiful pictures on booking.com... The windows are dirty, the interior is old and used, the white sofa on the terrace has probably never been cleaned, the glass on the terrace is broken... There were three of us, we got by on the first floor, we had to climb the construction stairs on the second floor... The night before we left for home, it was discovered that someone stole gold earrings from the bedroom from the staff, the staff refuses responsibility, no hospitality, even though there is all the evidence. Absolutely do not recommend to anyone
