梅光園Fukuoka Traditional House Baikoen I Japanese Style Villa

The house was beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. While it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the nearest train/subway station, it's a very pleasant neighborhood.

It would have been helpful to have instructions for some of the appliances that only had Japanese writing on them, for example the heating/ air conditioner. The dryer function of the combined washer/dryer did not work well or we couldn't figure out how to use it properly due to lack of instructions in English (or Japanese).

There is simply no better place to stay! This traditional Japanese house fulfilled all my dreams of experiencing Japan's old-fashioned way of life. The exquisite home is located in an upscale neighborhood in Fukuoka, with a supermarket right across the street and many excellent restaurants within a ten-minute walk. The house is meticulously designed, with every detail reflecting thoughtful care. Our group of six occupied all the rooms on the first floor. One suite had Western-style beds, while the other featured traditional Japanese tatami. A living room and dining area separated the two. For larger groups, there are an additional three rooms available on the second floor. If you're driving, there's even a garage. The first word that came to mind upon arrival was "trust!" In this vast world, the owner has entrusted strangers with a home filled with valuable crystal and ceramic pieces, and even an entire ivory tusk. Thank you so much! If the rating scale had no limit, I would give this place 100/10.

There was absolutely nothing to be dissatisfied with—this was the best place we stayed during our entire twenty-day trip to Japan!

The house is located off the city center, but the neighbor is convenient with supermarket and bbq restaurant within 3 minute walking distance. The house alone is amazing, very authentic Japanese decoration and facilities. It comes with a wonderful Japanese tatami room and Western style bedroom. Execellent living and traditional Japanese dining room.

Almost Everything, spacious, well designed Parking garage (although a bit low), very well decorated! Fully equipped kitchen, both the bed and Futon are good we slept comfortably.

The laundry machine doesn’t work well on thick clothes… came out wet. There is a part on upper floor that they do not allow guests to enter which I completely understand and respect the rules, but when I looked up I saw the CCTV, that’s made us feels like we have no privacy during our time in the living room.

The owner of the property is quick to give reply and ready to help solving any problem. The property is a traditional Japanese house which is well-designed and decorated with beautiful ceramics. The property is spacious for 5 persons. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking breakfast and dinner. There are 2 toilets and 2 bathroom with hot water supply which meets the needs of a bigger group.
