Wszystko było top, czuliśmysie obsługiwani jakby to był nasz dworek , jeszcze nigdy nie spotkaliśmy sie z taką obsługą. A podróżujesz bardzo dużo , po świecie. Brak słów zachwytu.A samo miejsce magiczne . Jak chcecie sie tak poczuć to koniecznie tam trzeba pojechać.

Jedynym minusem był dojazd a konkretnie droga.

As a seven-time visitor to Sri Lanka, I've come to appreciate the peace and serenity of the central highlands. They're relaxation, recharging, wandering the electric-green tea trails, smelling the flowers and listening to the birds sing. Glendevon Bungalow nails it. It perfectly encapsulates the beauty, charm, ease, history, grace and peacefulness of its era and setting. It doesn't hurt that the property has a world-class chef who prepares innovative and delicious meals. Manu, Sashika and all the staff members, many from the surrounding villages, are warm, gracious, professional and hospitable. For a memorable escape, I highly recommend Scottish Planter's (Glendevon) Bungalow!

The property is a bit remote, several kms off the main road on a broken trail, but that makes it even more perfect for those seeking an escape to a perfect little world. And they'll meet you on the main road to drive (or lead) you in.

This is a beautifully restored and furnished colonial bungalow that combined old world charm with modern comforts. The standout was the attentive service and the five-star four-course dinner that was some of the best food we had in our 10 day trip. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and the nearby tea estate. Thank you to the manager, the chefs, and the rest of the staff (including Morgan who took us around) for a memorable stay.

The location is not the most accessible, partly due to cyclone damage, but the staff made it easy for us by arranging a van for the last stretch. We enjoyed the tea factory tour very much, but wish there was tea from the estate we could buy.

Här bor du med historien runt dig. Servicen är topp och vi fick mer än vi bad om. Vi bodde en natt men hade gärna stannat minst en natt till. Trevlig vandring bland teodlingarna och missa inte att fråga efter en guidad tur i fabriken. Här får du se en fabrik som är i bruk och du kommer få det genuina upplevelsen jämfört med de andra som ligger på vägen mellan Kandy och Nuwara Eliya.

A unique heritage property in a beautiful setting of peaceful tea plantations. The room was clean and comfortable and the food delicious. The staff were fantastic and we even got a tour of the tea plantation and vegetable garden, it would have been lovely to stay an extra night.

Beautiful character property, well maintained , original furniture in a fabulous setting. Manu took us on a walk through the tea estate - informative and beautiful.

The Scottish planter bungalow is a beautiful themed boutique hotel and retains its rustic colonial charm. The absolute highlight of the accommodation is the staff, the manager took us on a guided walk through the estate, the house staff were so kind and attentive and the chef was superb. We couldn’t decide if we enjoyed the Sri Lankan or Western menu more! The grounds are particularly magical, with manicured lawns, animal themed topiary and we even saw deer and monkeys!

A few of the experiences advertised on the website were not available during our stay. For example, whiskey tasting is promoted, however there was no whiskey collection (or any whiskey at all) at the property at the time. Similarly, the jacuzzi appeared to be out of order and spa services were not operating while we were there. That said, the team handled this with genuine care and professionalism. The manager very kindly sourced local whisky for us on our second evening, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to try to make up for these gaps.
