Cute and Quirky Clarens

Nice airy modern feel. Well thought out process for easy, minimal contact on arrival and departure. Controlled access and close to town but far enough to feel like you are in the country side. Loved the fireplace and under floor heating in the bathrooms. Hosts were forth coming and helpful even though we never met them in person and only communicated via whatsapp and email. (which is actually what we prefer🤣) For those wanting more info.... Beds are firm, but comfy and bedding, including electric blankets, well equipped to handle the chilly evenings ( we visited end Sept). The shower pressure was amazing! Lovely big fridge and freezer, complete with ice trays. Nice undercover parking right in front of the entrance for 2 cars, which is very convenient. Beautiful view from our bedroom, including a fair amount of birds visiting the lawns. Perfect get away for 2 couples sharing a unit.

There was a lot of load shedding during our stay and our hosts did let us know in advance, but some emergency lights in the sitting area would be nice. The outside table and benches are lovely and comfy with cushions to sit on while you use the gas braai but during the day this bakes in the sun and in the evening it gets too cold to sit outdoors, a patio heater and umbrella may be nice additions for future. I know it sound like I'm complaining, but it didn't worry us, just points we noticed that could improve future stays. There is new development happening around the unit so there was a bit of noise on Friday and some workers wondering around. Hopefully this will be over soon.

Cute&Quirky was a excellent choice for a breakaway weekend. The house is well equipt and beautifully decorated. The peace and traquillity is priceless. I definetly recommend Cute&Quirky for anyone who seeks a self catering unit with privacy.

There was no rechargable lights for use during loadshedding . Luckilly I remembered my own . Although loadshedding is not the owner's fault , just a suggestion to make the guest's stay as comfortable as possible during loadshedding.

The unit is exactly like the pictures. Even better actually! Check in was a breeze. You collect keys from a lockbox. The owner communicated all the details so efficiently. The pictures seem like the unit is in a isolated spot with no houses around however when we got there it was in a access control estate with good security and houses around the property. The yard is quiet big so it seems that way. There is two bedrooms with two en suites.

Everything exceeded our expectations so there is nothing we did not like.
