Palahala

The place is really beautiful and clean the host welcomed us nicely.

We recently spent a few days at Palahala in the heart of Mpumalanga and it was nothing short of spectacular! Setting: 5/5 The lodge's secluded setting amidst breathtaking bushveld scenery was pure magic. Waking up to majestic sunrises, surrounded by vibrant wildlife and soothing bird songs, was the ultimate escape from city life. Accommodation: 5/5 The accommodation exceeded our expectations! Spacious, elegantly decorated, and perfectly equipped, it felt like home. The private deck overlooking the bush was perfect for sunset viewing. Service: 5/5 The friendly and warm welcome from Galina who explained everything to us and made us feel at home straight away. Recommendations: 1. Book a morning safari game drive experience for an unforgettable adventure. 2. Don't miss the sunrise/sunsets with the bush bucks, impalas, kudus and warthogs coming to say hi. 3. Do enjoy the braai area and pool. Will I return? Absolutely! And I will be very soon! Would I recommend? Without hesitation!

The shower didn’t seem to have a mixer and therefore the water was either boiling hot or extremely cold.

We loved everything -its a modern, beautiful house, clean well appointed with everything you need. Located centrally in Marloth Park yet very private - not overlooking anyone else's house. Gorgeous pool and deck. Swimming towels supplied as well. Small Spar supermarket nearby as well as a liquor store which is so convenient. The nearest entrance to Kruger is Crocodile Bridge which is only a 15-20min drive. But plenty of animals roaming around so you dont even need to go into the Kruger. We will definately be returning here!

The property was clean and had an amazing view. I loved the seat by the window in the bedroom. It was very ideal and cozy for watching animals at night.

Everything was so nice, a classy and safe stay with the wildlife. Superfriendly host. Such a nice place to relax and come to your senses. Bring a bag of apples to feed the zebra’s :)

There was no breakfast - the property was self-catering.

We loved everything but there was no Meet and Greet at the house. We arrived at 1pm and had said we would be there at 2pm so we did arrive earlier than anticipated. We therefore never saw anyone connected with the house and we just left at 10.00am on our last day and put the key back in the secret place. When we arrived at the house, a monkey knocked a fascia board off the house by the front door. I did take photos and sent them to Rihanna to inform her.
