Mangkun Villa Ubud 1

The villa was absolutely lovely, with beautiful and exotic surroundings. The pool was well-maintained and clean. The villa staff were incredibly kind and warm-hearted, always ready to help. A nice bonus was the option to have breakfast at the villa — the staff prepare it for you right there! We thought the location was great — there were a few nice restaurants and cafés nearby, as well as a shop, and getting to the center of Ubud was easy and quick by car or scooter. What especially stayed in our minds was the lovely cat who lived at the villa with us. The cat was very friendly and quite fond of food. We hope the future guests will keep this absolutely lovely villa cat company (and maybe even buy it some chicken fillet from the café next door every now and then...)!

We had a few minor issues with the bathrooms (the toilets didn’t always flush properly, one of the bidet sprays broke, etc.), and the water pressure in the showers wasn’t the best. Other than that, we were very happy with our week here.

We had a wonderful stay at Mangkun villa. The house was huge and had everything we needed. The pool table was a bonus especially with three teenage boys. The staff were very helpful with everything. They rented scooters and organised ATV tour for us. The location is great, just enough outside of the city center to be calm but close enough to have lots of restaurants around.

Electricity was on and off for nearly 10 times. Wifi was not stable

True Bali experience! So much room to spread out; hang out and also find a quiet place to isolate. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The beds were luxurious. They had a waterfall with fish and turtles which was a nice add on. There was a driver available to book for a fee when requested. The main Villa and bedrooms were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with bedding arrangements when first arrived but management responded immediately at no extra cost.

There are two upper bedrooms which are not accessible for elderly or anyone with physical disabilities or limitations which is not disclosed anywhere in descriptions. One internal staircase is very steep with deep steps and the other upper bedroom is only accessible by a an outdoor rugged, rocky staircase that makes the waterfall facade. It’s very ‘Indiana Jones’ but as it is outdoors kind of dangerous in the wet.
