From the minute our hostess Linda picked us up at the airport, we were made to feel like family. Our thatched-roof house was charming, perfectly appointed and with a view of the beach. The cottage is self-catering and has everything you may need. The pool was welcome for cooling off, and we loved watching the sea and the dhows from our porch while listening to the rustling of the palm trees. Linda was gracious and accommodating in all ways, all you have to do is ask. Forgot bug repellent? She provides! Bottle store closed because of a holiday? Wine magically appears in your fridge! Want info on local restaurants? She’ll give you a menu and call ahead to place your order! Anything you may need, it will be done, efficiently and with a smile.

I cannot think of a single thing.

Linda not only collected us from our previous lodgings and delivered us to the airport but also stopped at the shops so that we could buy groceries; she ordered food when required and put us in touch with her fresh fish supplier so we knew that we could trust the quality and price. We were able to indulge our desire to feast on seafood, coconuts from her trees, and relax in her lush private garden. With only two cottages sharing a pool, we had it to ourselves most of the time. The leisure furniture was comfortable - a most necessary asset for a holiday near the sea. Although the kitchen surrounded the bed, it did not intrude or reduce the comfort. The bed linen is both pretty and comfortable, suited to the climate.

The wifi connection was weak (a local problem) and there was some noise from passers-by, but that would not put us off from repeat visits every time we travel to Vilanculos.

The Staff super amicable, respectful, just 5 🌟 the owners Ms. Linda (in particular) a very kind person and helpful, she came to pick up us at airport by herself, take us to grocery once the place is self-catering, provided us good services like horse riding, trip to bazaruto island, and orher things.

There was problem with hot water on our first day stay and issues with WiFi connectivity, then, when we met she asked us if everything was okay, and we reported the issues. The other day all the problems were solved.

It was all excellent.....would be great if breakfast was available.....but all was awesome.

Luke's Place is in a great location in the southern stretch of Vilanculos, surrounded by a very nice garden and with an incredible view of the beach. Linda's availability and care to make us feel at home and help with the logistics of navigating around Vilanculos were 5 stars. Our conversations with Dito and Ivo, from the staff, and their lovely support made our stay even better.

The Wi-Fi needs some boost.

Luke's place is a win! We were looking for something that was quiet, off the beaten track, and still in our budget--and Lukes place was perfect. The property is beautiful and the chalets are well equipped (seriously!). There was such attention to detail in the chalets--everything you might need for a self-catering location. Linda was incredibly helpful with local tips and any questions we had. A very good value, high quality location.

It was all wonderful.
