Quinta do Caneiro

This house at that location is just a little paradise. The access via a pretty steep and narrow road is a little challenging - it is therefore good, to rent a car, which is not too big. The location directly at the Rio Caldo is great, you can go swimming every day - even in October. the furnishing shows a lot of taste of the owner Miguel - he is btw very friendly and super pragmatic - we loved the stay in his house a lot and are already discussing to come back.

Já conhecia o alojamento, pois foi a segunda vez que reservamos. A casa está muito bem localizada e equipada e tem todo o conforto para uma família como a minha. A localização à beira rio é muito agradável, e a disponibilização de lenha para fazer um churrasco foi muto agradável

Gostei de tudo, a maior contrariedade é a rampa de acesso que por vezes é difícil de subir quando está molhada.

Location is simply outstanding, very quiet. The house made of stone, so it is pleasantly cool inside even in a hot day. You got direct and private access to the river thus the air is fresh.The interior is top notch and decorations are authentic. Amenities are modern enough. There is an outside fireplace for cooking and a separate stone oven for pizza and such.

Last 15m of the road to get there. Quite steep and narrow. But fret not, our car 1.8 liters FWD with 130mm of clearance did just fine there even with 4 people inside. Just don't bring your Ferrari sedans there :)

A casa é sítio são PERFEITOS, lindíssimos e acolhedores. Para ficar perfeitamente confortáveis o ideal é acomodar 2 casais e não mais de duas crianças

O acesso da estrada á casa Podem ser muito difíceis para carros grandes ou muito baixos.

Do caminho até a casa

Amazing location with direct access to the river Caldo and short drive to the public beach of Alqueirão that has several amenities. The property is gorgeous and very comfortable for 6 people. The hosts were great and always contactable. The final access to the property is through a steep narrow road, takes some skill at first but once used to it it's OK. We spent most days just down on the river next to the house as it felt like a private beach.
