Casa do Mar - Luxurious Villa with Swim Spa & sea view

We wanted a quiet and peaceful place to stay with our family of five in the Algarve area, and chose this house in Plaia da Luz. It exceeded all of our expectations. It is a beautiful, contemporary house directly on the water, with panoramic views of the Atlantic and stunning coastal cliffs. It has three levels with outdoor balconies/ terraces and huge windows perfect for taking in the beautiful views. You are a five minute walk from the center of town, with markets, beaches, and wonderful restaurants. The home is immaculately clean and very quiet, and the living spaces and bedrooms are very comfortable. The kitchen is well-appointed if you choose to cook for yourself. The host was very friendly and responsive, and the friendly housekeeper met us on arrival and ensured we had all we needed. It was a perfect spot for a relaxing family vacation.

A beautifully presented villa, which was perfect for 8 people - spacious inside and good outside terraces with fantastic views. Ideal location overlooking the beach and a 2 minute walk to bars, restaurants and amenities. Fully equipped kitchen & bbq.

This is truly on the water. It has everything you would need for an incredible holiday. The little village of Luz is quaint and friendly. It is a three block walk to the center where there are restaurants, shops and two grocery stores. There is a beautiful beach in the town center as well. The coast is simply beautiful with the rocks.

Good location close to restaurants and bars, very handy to have a garage to keep the car cool, good number of bathrooms, nice and clean, housekeeper was lovely and very helpful and the vila was cleaned half way through our stay. Plenty of space, light and airy, fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed.

The pillows were 4 times the size of a standard pillow and took up far too much space in the bed. The standard size pillows were lumpy and hard and let down the sleeping experience on what were otherwise extremely comfortable and good sized beds. The listing is ambiguous, referring to both 'rooftop swim spa' and 'hot tub'. We thought the swim spa would be a refreshing pool (the photos give the impression of a swimming pool) not a boiling hot jacuzzi! Hot water was fine for the evening but in daytime August heat was unusable. It would have been nice to have a few basics like milk, butter, bread on arrival. Aircon only worked well on the ground floor.

The property was extremely spacious and in a perfect location.

I couldn’t fault it.
