3 Caves by Caldera Houses

Our room, cave 4, had an incredible view over the Caldera. It slept a family of 4 easily and at nighttime the views were even more incredible as the villages lit up the cliff sides. A fresh breakfast is delivered daily.

Breakfast could only arrive after 8:30am because of the opening time for the bakery that supplies it so if you had an early departure you won’t get breakfast.

Everything was 10/10. I just had a couple suggestions.

I wish clean towels and slippers were provided everyday. White robes would’ve been a nice addition too. Annoying tourists taking photos on top of the hill whilst we were in the swimming pool. I paid €25 for a Taxi from the centre of Thira back to Oia post office, so I’m not sure if the Taxi’s arranged by Caldera houses from the airport were too expensive or if we got lucky.

We loved absolutely everything about this property and would recommend it to anyone! - Location was spot on you. It is located in a quiet residents-only section (but also very close to the prime view spots). You have it all here. - Views were unbeatable (exactly as shown in the pictures). Sit in the pool and soak it all in - day and night. - Service from bookings to transfers to the porters on arrival were 5 stars! Do yourself a favour and book the transfers - made life so much easier! - Breakfast delivered was perfect! - 2 Sofa beds (very comfortable) made it perfect for a family of 4. Mini kitchen was perfect for our little family too.

**Exceptional Stay at 3 Caves by Caldera Houses!** My family and I recently stayed at the 3 Caves by Caldera Houses in Oia, Santorini, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived at Oia Airport, we were warmly greeted by a driver who helped us with our luggage. Upon reaching Oia, we were welcomed by Mary and the porters who assisted in carrying our luggage to the room. While there are some steps to reach the room, the breathtaking scenery and prime location made it all worth it. The view was mesmerizing and awe-inspiring. Mary was incredibly attentive and always available on WhatsApp, day or night, providing any assistance or guidance we needed. The Greek breakfast served each morning was delicious and added to the overall wonderful experience. Mary also took care of all our arrangements and ensured we had a smooth checkout, even helping us get back to the airport. Thank you for an unforgettable stay! Ramsey

The location is fantastic.

The breakfast and cleaning service were both very disappointing.

The views from this cave villa are breathtaking. It's dreamy and just like the posting advertises. The breakfast arrived at 8:30 in the morning in this adorable wooden box. Greek yogurt, juice, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, and traditional pastries. It was delicious. A lovely place to stay for a few nights. They also help you bring your bags to and from the taxi/transfer area, which would otherwise be a long walk through narrow streets CROWDED with tourists.

The jacuzzi/pool could have used a good scrubbing around the perimeter. Towels were supposed to be replaced every two days but had to request more on the fourth day. This is not a fault of 3 Caves itself but of the island of Santorini. Everyone wants to go capture the beautiful photo of the blue dome rooftops, and the line for that perfect photo starts at the entryway to the guest area of the villa, so you have to fight a crowd getting in and out each time you leave. Finally, every home on the island (not just some, literally EVERY SINGLE ONE) has been converted to a villa for rent to a tourist, so essentially you are on vacation on this beautiful GREEK island filled with other tourists but nothing about it feels Greek because there are no Greek people. Even the drinks on the menus aren't Greek, they offer you Margaritas and Mojitos for 22 Euros. I can get that at home. There was ONE remaining Greek Restaurant that didn't sell out, with delicious real family-style food: Candouni Restaurant. I also highly recommend renting a car for 60 Euro per day, otherwise, you'll pay 70Euro for a transfer 40 mins in distance, or 35Euro to go up a hill, it's arbitrary but they are clearly working for your money in Santorini. We travel the world, 3 destinations per year and this was most apparent in Santorini where it is overpriced and culture-deprived. Buy a painting and save $15,000.
