Ammos Oia Mansion

The location of the hotel is amazing, we can view the sunset and sea from the room, hot tub, and balcony. Oia gets really busy during sunset hours, so it is amazing to see the sunset at your own room. The room is well and uniquely decorated, my daughter love the swing in the room with the ocen view. The host is very friendly and helpful, she contacted me month ahead and offered suggestions for things to do, on the checkin date, she was waiting for us at the room and gave us a stocked fridge.

The stairs from the hot tub is a little slippery for kids and seniors, so need to be extra caution.

This was my 6th visit to Santorini and 3rd time staying at Ammos Oia mansion. I've stayed at many villas on Santorini and this is one of my most favorite properties!! The location, the view, the space and the staff all 10/10 the very best! You can't beat the price for the amount of space you get and it's very prime location 🙌🏽 if this villa is available BOOK IT IMMEDIATELY!!! On this visit I was helping my best friend's boyfriend propose to her. I Knew I wanted it to happen at Ammos ❤️ and I knew I could entrust the hostess with the mostess 😂 Mateo, to help execute what I had in mind for the proposal. Mateo always makes sure me and my guests have the best experience in Oia and he takes pride in guaranteeing a great stay for every guest! Because of him the proposal was a huge success! Rose petals, candles, will you marry me sign and chilled champagne oh and even balloons! 🌹🕯️🎈He also got amazing videos and pictures of it all 🤗 helping set up the popping of champagne bottle and playing music for the newly engaged to dance to. It all made the most beautiful videos and pictures we may not of had without him! 🥰 thank you for making this proposal more perfect than I could of ever imagined!! On this stay we had 5 adults and 1 child and we all had plenty of space staying in this villa. Lots of space for hanging out, you even have your own private area above the villa, perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. I've used that space to do yoga, to sun bath and it is a great place for pictures! You have a fully equipped kitchen as well. The hot tub is also very spacious and could fit quite a few people inside. Oh and can't forget to mention the fun swing inside one of the bedrooms 😁 this villa is very special! Thank you for another unforgettable stay! I can't wait to come back ❤️

This property is beyond PERFECT

The location is really excellent, and the scenery is very beautiful. Santorini in February is truly in the off-season. Maybe it's also related to the earthquake. Most of the shops and supermarkets are closed, so we had no choice but to drive to Fira to do the shopping. Of course, this is not the fault of this house.

No breakfast. I wanted to check out one day earlier due to the earthquake, but my request was refused after negotiation.

The view is unbelievable and the cave house got all you need for a great holiday. Elizabeth is the best host you can asked for. She got great local knowledges and is only a message away with any questions, whether is tour, restaurant ….

First off, echoing other reviews, hostess Elizabeth was a gem. So responsive and helpful with everything before and during our trip to Santorini. She and her son even gave us an island tour one afternoon. Included breakfast every morning was delicious. Villa is very nice and in good condition with exceptions noted below. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of room for our family group of 5. Plenty of hot water and a good WiFi signal. Kitchen well equipped. The view from the upper patio was incredible (pictures attached). Unfortunately, Oia is so over-run with tourists there was a fairly steady stream of people on the narrow lane behind the villa which gave us zero privacy on the upper patio. As for Oia, if your OK with wall to wall tourists you should have no issues. I suppose everyone needs to see it once - it is magnificent - but consider staying somewhere else. Then you can join the busloads of cruise ship tourists swarming the village. Make sure and take a cruise - it was a trip highlight for us.

Air conditioning was simply awful and we needed it. Never got temperature below 25 C (77 F) and 78% humidity. I wouldn't say it ruined our visit, but it certainly put a DAMPer on it - pun intended. I really think the owner should be ashamed to collect peoples money in the warm months. The AC units literally blow very slightly below room temperature, but very humid air in EVERY room. Other than late at night and early in the morning we were all in a constant sweat unless seated in front of a fan. On that note, only one working fan was provided - we needed at least 3, although Elizabeth came through with a second one on second day. Sleeping was a challenge to say the least. Also "sofa beds" are beds in name only. Hard as a rock.
