Lux Villa Provence

The view was amazing and the pool was good. The villa is very spacious and there was lots of room for everyone to hang out in for the week we stayed. It was also nice to be able to choose whether to eat inside or outside.

The kitchen and bathrooms are very dated and there is only 1 full fridge freezer, so it was a squeeze with even just the 8 of us, as we were cooking nearly every night. We did not know that the water was not drinkable until we got there which was annoying. Plus getting to the villa requires driving 5 km up a very steep hairpin road, so having to go back down again immediately to get water was frustrating. We were also told not to use the washing machine at first as the water man had not come, which was also annoying. The hosts offered to get us what we needed, but honestly for the price I expected toilet paper, enough towels etc for the week to be there waiting for us. The hosts live there in a flat under the villa and came up a couple of times without calling first, which was not expected.

The views as everyone said are great and location is convenient. They are counting on people to give great reviews and have a strong rating just based on this!

The place was very dirty, not cleaned properly (hair in the bathrooms, dirty soaps, bird poop on outside stairs, lots of dirty kitchen cutlery) and generally not sanitary. When we shared the feedback, nothing was eventually done - no cleaners were sent, and with little kids we had to fix it ourselves. Terrible experience and service!!

Amazing view from almost every room, very hospitable hosts, excellent costumer service! We highly recommend this villa for anyone looking to escape to quite and private vacation!
