Hot water was sometimes a problem

Location. Plenty of animals roaming around.

The cleaning service was a scam. For R350, they made the beds and washed dishes.

Proximity to Crocodile Bridge Kruger Park gate. Rooms were nice and big. Was nice to have fans and emergency lights when there was load shedding. Kitchen is nice and had everything you would need on holiday.

1. The TV is not a smart TV as advertised - The 'TV' is rather a screen that connects to a box which gives you access to TV programs. This box was not working. Bottom line - no working TV as advertised 2. Hot water. This house, although able to accommodate 8 people is only able to provide ONE person at night with enough hot water for a quick shower as their SOLAR system is not up to scratch. When I questioned this I was told maybe some of us could shower during the day because there should then be enough hot water for the rest of us at night. Beware if you are into having a shower daily. 3. The front garden of the house is overgrown and the front door not in use, so entrance is at the side of the house. All good but the pond at the entrance is dirty with foul smelling water. 4. Old building material is lying discarded just next to the house parking and garage - in full view when you park and get out of your car. This seem to be the area where animals attempt to visit the house in the afternoon or mornings (one of the attractions of renting in Marloth Park) but because of the rubble they are unable to do so. 5. House is passable but not as neat and tidy as other homes I have stayed in in Marloth Park. A good outside sweep or rake, and pulling out of weeds growing up against the outside steps etc. would have gone a long way in making this home look more 'loved' and welcoming. 6. One last issue. You need to remove your rubbish daily and drive it to the dump site yourself. surely this is the bare minimum you should be able to offer your guests?

Close to Crocodile Bridge Gate, Jackals Dream was a great location, comfortable spot for a family (or two). Great rooftop for sunsets and outdoor area for Braai.

The location was perfect. All the rooms gave a lot of privacy for our 3 teenagers. We enjoyed the house and the wildlife around the house. The roofterrace was great to see the sunset over Kruger and also to enjoy the beautifull starry sky.

What we didn't like is that we had to go home again after a great stay. The 9 nights we stayed were just to short. Next time we want to stay longer.

Jackals dream was decorated beautifully and we felt right at home. The venue was clean and the ambiance made us feel right in with nature! We had access to everything we needed and local amenities were close by. The location of Jackals dream was located in the right spot and we saw plenty of wildlife which added to our Kruger National Park experience. Maaike and Sheena were very organised and oh so friendly and helpful from start to finish - Thank you for our extra surprise for celebrating Mark's birthday!

We found that the inverter was connected to the lights only and this was an issue as we couldn't connect any plugs a fan to help cool off during the hot evenings - So sleeping was a battle. This also became an issue when it came to charging phones. After speaking to Sheena, she advised that this is a work in progress as we were told that they are looking at installing a better system in the near future. We couldn't find a remote for one of the lights for the ceiling fans and had to share. Other than that, the place was fully spec'd to meet our requirements!

This is a slice out of heaven, really relaxing environment in the Bush. Animals came right up to this lively modern house. It got all amenities and you really don't have to leave the house for anything. Perfect escape!!

The caretaker was quite a difficult person from day one. She doesn't really have the people skills to work in hospitality. For some reason we recieved hostility from her before we even stepped foot into the house. The owner on the other hand was absolutely lovely and a kind person to communicate with.
