Villa Kelusa

Right from the get go, the property took our breath away. We were greeted by smiling and welcoming staff with a delicious welcome drink and snacks. There are 2 villas on the property and its smack dab in the middle of the paddy fields. Our villa was exceptionally decorated with beautiful artwork that the owner has collected over the years. The staff took care of every need that we had, be it food, taxi or spa. Everyone that we interacted with during our stay was so nice, friendly and warm. Food : Elo, our cook made delicious food for us. We asked her to make some traditional dishes that weren’t on the menu but she still obliged. They also did floating breakfast one day just to give us the experience. It’s a big property, very serene, clean and quirt and needs staff to maintain it. They were quiet and inconspicuous as much as they could. We never felt that they were invading our privacy. Wayan the manager : went above and beyond in booking our excursions, helping with food choices, sharing tips on where to buy local stuff all with a smile. He also took us on a tour of the paddy fields and shared local stories. Everything about this villa was gorgeous and it was the perfect size for our family of four. The beautiful long infinity pool gave us the perfect view and vibe. The massage was absolutely amazing and so relaxing. They have their own massage tables and can set it up for the masseuse that they call from outside. The staff let us explore and hang out in the backyard of the other villa, including using its pool. There was a pond with fish, and the staff even gave us fish food to feed them, which my son enjoyed. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and relaxing. Overall, this was one of our favorite stays in Bali, and a definite five star experience. We are on another island now but still miss Villa Kelusa and its people.

The stairs to the upstairs room may be a bit steep for people with bad knees. Just a heads up.

All was perfect, very welcoming staff, good food location in the middle of the Rize farms, my family want to stay months her, unfortunately we have work , next year we will come back

Privacy could be better

As I expected, the villa offered a quiet and peaceful location—perfect for a relaxing getaway. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The food was outstanding, and the hospitality was beyond expectations. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. A special thanks to Mr. Wayan—your warmth and care will never be forgotten. We also indulged in a soothing massage, and the kids had a great time swimming. Honestly, there’s nothing negative to say. While I understand that personal preferences differ and I can’t speak for everyone, I can say this: once you experience this place, you’ll miss it dearly.

Spectacular location with stunning views and tranquil vibe. Airport pick up and transfer seamless. Versatile accomodation for our family of 7. Lovely staff with great home cooking.

Ubud really busy at time we stayed (Christmas period) so over an hour to get into town centre. Low shower pressure and blocked toilet - repaired very quickly :)

Setting : views ; layout : pool; quiet : stylish design & interesting antiques : helpful staff: great bikes to ride : safe quiet roads to jog on : not too far from Ubud outskirts

Food poor - same prebought sauces used across several dishes in the same meal Maintenance needed eg cabinet doors not fitting - just felt a little tired all round which was a shame for such a lovely villa Steep stairs up to the bedroom

Quite remote but absolutely stunning location. Very stylish villa with all the mod cons. We felt really looked after by Wayan and the Villa Kelusa team, so friendly and welcoming!Great food options, everything served fresh
