Really lovely villa set in perfect location. Facilities were spot-on with everything you could need provided. Patricia had been very communicative prior to our arrival answering all my questions and putting my mind at rest, but even so there was someone on sight each day should you have any requirements or need information. The villa itself was lovely and contained all we needed for self-catering although we didn't take advantage of the BBQ facilities. The best aspect by far was the huge terrace which had two sets of table & chairs and two sun loungers (beach towels provided) and overlooked the sea and harbour - perfect views. Bathroom was great with lovely walk-in shower and even a washing machine. We found it was just a ten minute (if that) walk to many superb bars and restaurants but like everywhere it is quite hilly - was OK walking "down" but we generally caught a taxi back to the villa costing 5 Euro's each trip. Lovely touches made the stay even more pleasurable such as on arrival having bottle wine, bowl of fruit, various bits to eat left for us. Would highly recommend

Nothing to do with the owners / villa but as someone else mentioned we did get ravaged by mosquito's so advise you take cream/repellent's if you are susceptible to these critters......

Location is perfect. Breakfast we prepared ourselves.

Not too much privacy

Vety warm.welcome, accommodation with everything you need, lovely to have a selection of food and drinks waiting, including lots of fresh fruit., lots of personal touches that made our stay very special. Wonderful view of Funchal and the harbour from the private terrace,, good location close to the old town, 10 minute walk to some very good restaurants and bars,. Easy free street car parking.

The mosquitoes, nothing the owner could do about them but they were annoying. Pack repellent is my tip!

This is an outstanding property- we are so glad we found it. The villa is beautifully located, surrounded by plants, a private terrace and a beautiful pool. The view is worth every penny before you even start on all of the other highlights. Beautifully decorated, this is modern and well equipped. Travelling with our seven month old, we requested a cot. What we got was so much more! A cot, a highchair (the same we have at home- great taste!), a baby bath, baby towel, baby cutlery, toys and even baby fruit packs. Honestly, we were blown away by the effort and thoughtful touches. This is echoed around the villa. We were greeted by fresh flowers, fresh fruit, a bottle of wine and food to get us started. The linens and towels were great quality, and plentiful. The kitchen is really well equipped, with all the gadgets and appliances you could need. Beach towels are also provided. Our terrace was private, and also well equipped with sun beds, table and chairs, and comfy chairs. There was also an umbrella. Around the villa, we had a bbq and another table and chairs in a shady, peaceful spot. The grass area by the pool is beautiful and everything is immaculate. It’s about a ten minute walk to the old town (our favourite part of Funchal). It is a tiny bit steep on the way back but fine with a pushchair. Plus there’s a lovely snack bar overlooking the sea half way down. Patricia is really communicative and booked both our taxi transfers for us. The housekeeper, Mara (I hope I have her name right) was really lovely and friendly. All in all, an idyllic stay, perfect for our young family.

We felt very welcome on arrival and throughout the stay. The property and gardens were immaculate. Everything we needed was available...and more! It was a good uphill walk from Funchal but manageable for most fit people. We would stay again.

The noise of the digger on the neighbouring property, but this is not the owner's fault. It just meant we had to go out all the time and not enjoy the garden.

Everything was outstanding - the location, the villa, the Infinity pool, the friendliness of the staff, communication with owners. Ideally placed a short - uphill - walk from Funchal old town/centre. The walk back up after an evening helped to burn off the holiday calories! We will be back.

This is an absolutely amazing place with wonderful host and staff. So kind and thoughtful and always there if you need anything.

Great location, beautifull terras and nice appartment. Host is very nice, so is the cleaning staff. Excellent stay!!
