Ostrich Hide

A fresh clean well decorated and comfortable home!!! Host was exceptional and kept us informed the whole time! I loved the small touches that made our stay so fabulous!!! I am dreaming of our next trip to Ostrich Hide as we will certainly be back!!! P.s the back up for loadshedding was so helpful!

Love the house design and layout. Neat and clean. Very relaxing atmosphere. We had a great time. Will definitely come back again.

Ostrich Hide is an incredible place in the heart of Marloth Park. It’s beautifully designed and every inch well thought out. It has every utensil/appliance and amenity you could ever need in your own home, let alone a holiday rental! The braai area is fantastic, especially when the wildlife come into the garden and eat whilst you’re cooking your own dinner. We bought some feed from the local shop, and the Kudu’s and Impala LOVED it! Communication from Marja, which we received before our visit, had every detail we needed to know about the house, Marloth and the surrounding areas and Sheena, the housekeeper, gave us a thorough check in and welcome, was on hand whenever we needed her or had any questions, and came to see us off when we left (which we really didn’t want to do!). We felt extremely safe at Ostrich Hide and didn’t have any problems during loadshedding hours as the lights, WI-FI and fans throughout the property worked when the power was off (Marja sent over some tips to help with the loadshedding too!)

Absolutely nothing!

The entire unit is made for comfort. Beautifully decorated and the entire layout of the unit is just perfect. Loved everything about the space.

Animals walking freely close to the house... Everything you need is here... The power system helps alot you might add the TV on it as it does not use alot of power... We were very happy staying here

well laid out and construction of house made it very cool. lots of fans and air cons to cope with heat too. battery back up made a huge difference during loadshedding. Located in quiet, secluded part of Park.

no carport/garage for renter

Very clean house, well decorated, well equipped, comfortable beds. Thanks to the gas stove and the batteries that take over for the light, the loadsheddings are much easier to manage. What a pleasure to have breakfast in the company of zebras, wildebeests, warthogs, kudus, birds, mongooses, ... Marja responds quickly to emails.

Had the same problem with the shower like the previous guests (Sorry, I dont' remember if I told Sheena upon check out). Would have love to have sun loungers on the terrace and a few more plates.

I definitely loved the earthy look inside the house, complimenting the outside of the house. The openness and privacy was amazing too. The gas stove was a great extra as well since there was so much loadshedding going on. I was inspired by the aesthetics so much that I'm even looking forward to stealing some ideas for my home renovation☺️

The shower to the other bedroom had a bit of the drainage problem, water was just getting stuck and not moving. Otherwise I was happy with everything else.
