Kyoto Nijo Guest House IchiKawa villa

玄関に鍵がかかっており、室内に入れず、緊急連絡先に電話をしても繋がらず、利用をあきらめるしかなかった。

Location was great. The place was very clean. Nice bathrooms.

It was advertised as 3 bedrooms. When we got there, it was set up as 2 bedrooms and a living room. We had to move futons into the living room to create a third bedroom. The picture of the garden in the advertisement is misleading..is is not a place that you can use.

Location is ok. Easy to find.

1. The host is not responsive. Didn’t answer message or call during our stay just because it’s weekend. 2. Our stay is during mid March. Kyoto is raining and cold. There’s no AC in the kitchen and bathrooms so it’s freezing and unable to take bath at all! No warm water in the 2nd floor bathroom. 3. There’s an unpleasant smell in the house. I guess because it’s been a while for visitors to stay. I found 2 spiders on 2nd floor tatami. The house is not sound-proof at all. So you can hear anything happen on the street clearly.
